| Gandler Member since: Aug 15, 2019 Threads: 27 Posts: 4256 | People are going crazy that medics would not respond to help a shooting victim after CHAZ citizens prevented police entry to secure the area for the medical team. The CHAZ residents wanted to clear the areas for the medics.... They want to run their own country, but first demanded the city provide sanitation services (which it pathetically did), because they can't clean up after themselves. And, they don't even have their own medical services.... Its like a bunch of Freshman Stoners ran a country.... They should have ended all City Services immediately (or charged for services like they do when cities service nearby cities).... Personally I think all willing participants who are adults (and people who allowed their minors to participate should lose their kids) should be charged with treason, both against the U.S. and against their State (not the death penalty, but 10-20 years in prison should be good) or the wall off CHAZ and embargo it until it goes out of existence. I have zero sympathy for anyone there.... I do have sympathy for the buisness owners who got stuck in that situation who will probably never recover... When you do something so foolish your life does not matter. (Also, I think everyone can agree that its a good thing for all of them to lose voting rights). Sadly it took massive tragedy for Seattle to react... Too late, this should have been prevented, but cowardly politicts allowed this to thrive and stay standing way too long.... There have been wars with countries (with functional infrastructure and competent armies) that have been over quicker... No, but this is a level of cowardice and pandering to a whole new degree. Nobody wants to be the grown up.... Because they will be voted out by the kids.... Everyone wants somebody else to do the dirty work so if it goes wrong there is no direct risk.... |

Particularly by the instance yesterday of people trying to talk Andrew Jackson's statue.... I wish state and local governments would have this kind of courage. Instead a mob attacks a statue, most mayors hustle to have city workers take it down... It sounds like Trump is pushing for 10 years for vandalizing Federal monuments (under Veteran's Memorial Preservation Act), its sad that many govenors will not follow on a state level. The good thing about Federal prisons is no parole (sadly states let people out way too early....) The government needs to take a firm stand, the more we normalize anti-social behavior and dangerous mob rule, the less centrlized our country becomes. |
