So yes, I will not support "big businesses like Walmart" and I do not shop there.

Really? No, I blame their business practices. You put other businesses in there, with better practices, and there would be over 400,000 more jobs.

Yeah, no. Americans prefer cheap junk to quality. They would rather something cheap that you throw out in a few years than something that will last. Not a ton wrong there as often cheap junk is what does the job best. But they have voted with their wallets.

He said jobs as well. Do you really think Walmart employs more people than if it didn't exist. I think it has created fewer jobs than the businesses it replaced. It has to, the way it focuses on crushing the competition.

No proof though.

Outsourcing manufacturing jobs to china, reduces jobs here for sure.

The $1200 was put into my wife's
account because we file a joint
tax return because it benefits us
financially. She came over today
and gave me a personal check. I
had go to the bottom of the
driveway and she rolled down
her window enough to slip the
check thru and then took off like
a shot.

I haven't seen her since Jan when
I got sick. She's convinced I had
the virus and wants no contact
till I get tested for antibodies.
Good luck with that, ain't gonna
happen. I have no bank account,
got rid of it 10 years ago. I'll have
to wait for my wife's bank to reopen
and cash the check then.

You can also take 90 Billion in Walmart China purchases, and buy more us products than the 250 Million they have pledged to buy within 5 or 10 years.

Obviously I applaud your choice but you are not the typical American. The typical American would rather have lower priced items for themselves than worry about creating more jobs. We are a nation of selfish people.

The articles I quoted say exactly that.

We buy local when we can. If not farm stand produce, then as locally sourced as possible. That means no Costco either.
My favorite hardware store is a small corner store.
Our plumber is a local independant family business.
We have an electrical job coming up, that will also be given to a local independant business.

We aren't 100% buy local/buy American, but we do give thought to where we choose to spend our money.

Buying from Walmart is the antithesis of buying American.

Like I said I applaud you, I tend to choose quality and price over nationalism.

https://wallstreetonparade.com/2020/04/here-are-the-contracts-showing-how-4-5-trillion-in-stimulus-was-outsourced-to-wall-street/

"This, effectively, means that the Treasury has merely laundered the money through the Federal Reserve, which has laundered it through the New York Fed, which has laundered it through a bunch of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) organized in the secrecy jurisdiction of Delaware as Limited Liability Corporations (LLCs), in order to hand the money over to Wall Street asset managers"

Cool. This should work out well, wonder who is going to pay the tab?
The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW
