OnceDear Member since: Nov 21, 2017 Threads: 11 Posts: 1512 | I rarely eat in Chinese restaurants and never ate foo yung there. I've had many foo yungs from various takeaways and NONE of them ever came with any kind of gravy. About half were properly deep fried. The other half were knocked up in a wok and delivered 'broken'. Do you like British Style Indian food? Curries? Dhal? Balti's?, Tikka? Biriani? |

Never eaten Indian food, not a big fan of curry. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Yet Canada's main dish that you can get everywhere is heart seizing fat balls and fries swimming in gravy. But no gravy for the egg foo young. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Poutine is a Quebec dish and not widely available in western Canada. I wouldn't call it Canada's main dish. "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

It seems like it is. It's an every food video I watch from Canada. It is even at the Minnesota State Fair which considers itself part of Canada. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Potato Champion, a Stumptown food cart on SE Hawthorne near 13th serves up a very tasty poutine. The guy who operates it basically sells french fries: nothing but fries and poutine (fries, curd, gravy). Tasty sauces: worth seeking out. He did his homework before opening his business: inter alia he went to Belgium and seriously looked into how they do it; now he does it their way. Yum. |

Heart-stopping food. Literally, it will stop your heart. Nothing but fat, carbohydrate, and saturated fat in the curd fat balls. From my understanding some Canadians eat this crap everyday. YouTube guy that I follow who eats in fast food restaurants in Canada. Almost every one of them has this poutine crap. And he always orders it smacking his lips and going yum yum. I've had gravy and fries before, you can feel your blood getting thick. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Anyone that goes to London and doesn't try the Indian food is missing out. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |
