Because she has power. She was probably the most influential person in destroying the thousands of jobs for Queens. She commands social media, and the main stream media as well. I would say she is maybe the second most visible Congressperson after Pelosi right now. If she wasn't so out of touch with reality she wouldn't be mentioned as much.
Just like you consider DJT 'dangerous' for the USA, I consider AOC far more dangerous. Her socialist ideas are poison. I will mention her obvious errors, and clear lack of understanding of business, taxes, etc.... I am NOT obsessed with her. I can assure you every Dem/Lib on this board is FAR more obsessed with DJT than I am with AOC.
