The two weeks off are to dig up and corroborate more stuff, and to allow Trump to keep shooting himself in the foot (and pence in the back) while enraged. So far he is doing a hang-up job.

You know EB is really stretching when it takes three paragraphs to get his blatant misrepresentations of the facts across.

Another EB story of how Trump is supposedly playing 3D chess, when actually he’s just chasing down marbles which spilled out of his head.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

No stretching, and you know it's
what happened. They were trying
to pull a Nixon. Make Trump do
a cover up, then hit him with
obstructing the investigation..

Certainly even you must have
scratched your head over Adan
Schitt's blatant lies in his 'parody'.
Why did he do that? Because they
all thought there would be no
transcript to compare the parody
to. They were depending on Trump
sitting on it. They've been planning
this for weeks.

That's
why Schitt went on the the lying
'parody', we weren't supposed
to have the real transcript. Morons.

I can't stand that lying little Schitt. 😂

The arguments are probably true in both cases (even though Clinton did not need to run again), but it causes a massive spike in popularity and rallied his base. The same Thing will happen with Trump. People do not learn from the past.

Even if he gets impeached, he will never be convicted that is virtually certain, but being impeached will make him even more likley to win re-election.

Sadly, I agree. Democratic leadership is in a no-win situation. If they don't impeach, they will look like weak enablers to Trump's corruption.

However, correct me if I'm wrong, but Nixon had enough support to beat impeachment at first. However, as more and more bad news came out, some Republican senators flipped and the whole house of cards quickly fell down. I was seven at the time, so welcome correction if my understanding is wrong.

These exact arguments were made when the Republicans proceeded with the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

I do not disagree. I wholeheartedly agree, actually. It was wrong then (and failed miserably) and it is wrong now (and I think it will fail miserably).

It's too bad the Democrats do not have a leader as savvy as I am!

Pelosi.... "We have chosen not to impeach Donald Trump, even though we believe he has committed impeachable offenses. We are quite aware that our colleagues across the aisle in the Senate will not convict him even in the face of mounting evidence of his guilt. So we will leave it up to the American people to remove him from office by voting him out a year from November."

I know Snopes isn't what it used to be, though I do think it has gotten a bit better again.

Anyway, herein are several quotes from Lindsay Graham on high crimes and impeachment.

I don't think he was just talking about presidents in their second term this time, either.

Lots of talk that nobody in
the public sector is paying
a whit of attention to this
latest Dem lie. To the
public it's Russia Russia
Russia all over again.

I had to wait 2 1/2 hours
today for my brother to
get a colon exam and you
can't leave if you're the patients
ride. There was a constant
revolving crowd of 25-30
people waiting.

At either end were big screen
TV's tuned to MSnbc. It was
wall to wall coverage of this
latest baloney. I could see
everyone in the room and not
once in all the times I checked
did I see a single person
watching the TV. I thought there
would be one or two, but there
were zero.

These weren't kids, they were
working middle aged adult
voters. Nobody cared, it was like
the TV's were turned off. People
just don't think any of this crap is
true or legit.
