Now we are week later and Iran has fessed up on taking the plane down (I actually will give them full credit for the confession, they screwed up and admitted it, what is there to investigate?) No more rockets flying at bases, no more storming the embassy. Not one leftie can admit their TDS posts that the sky was falling were the BS that they have been proven to be, let alone give Trump one iota of credit.

Iím still waiting for the war with North Korea the libs predicted two years ago. Donít worry. Theyíll find some other reason Trump is causing the end of the world.

I watched almost all of it. It WAS agony! There was a younger attractive female CEO he mentioned during his CEO thank you portion of his speech. Of course he mentioned how young she looked! It was cringeworthy! But not as bad as complimenting someone who said Trump was among the best Presidents ever. Trump giggled when mentioning he is better than Washington and Lincoln.

On a substantive note, Trump did give props to a bunch of American companies that are doing well under his administration, and even said encouraging things to those that have not done as well (GE is an example). Apparently, the agreement has no real teeth to it, and if China does not live up to its side Trump can re-establish some tariffs. But that overall this will be good for American companies, especially food producers, that want to export their products to the billion plus people of China.

Not a bad week for Trump.... new NAFTA deal, China deal, #1 terrorist in the world taken out.......
What will the Democrat response be? Lev Parnas! Lev Parnas! Lev Parnas!
I didn't watch the trade signing [phase one] but watched a report on it at RT. They said phase one had very little substance and Trumps tariffs will stay in place for now. Then they cut to, everyone was interested in phase two, as phase one did very little. They said China "may" buy ag products, but nothing is certain. So China may buy ag products, or not? Meanwhile the deals between Putin and Xi for ag products are skyrocketing, and Putin likes to mention that Russian/Crimean/Ukrainian ag products are Roundup free.

Then today I see, this article about China-Ukrainian trade, and it says a lot. Ukraine will soon have 5-G, not sure how anyone feels about that? Many Euro country's are going to have 5G and Huawei, which is superior to what the west is using, while waiting in stages on trade deals, which may or may not happen, until after the election? https://www.fort-russ.com/2020/01/china-bypasses-europe-and-russia-in-the-struggle-for-ukraine/ The link has some interesting points about China buying up old Soviet airline technology, and Chinese investment in Ukraine industry. They also point out that Ukraine labor is cheaper than China's.

I also was surprised to find out that China is second behind Russia in buying military arms from Ukraine, while these silly show trials go on about Trump not giving Ukraine 400 million dollars worth of armaments fast enough.

I disagree with SOOPOO on a lot of things, but there's zero reason that he should feel guilty for not lowering his standards on the President's behavior.

I've been outspoken that his personal life and the way he comports himself is and has been embarrassing. Equally outspoken that since he was elected he has done and been exactly what he said he would do and be.

And he has accomplished a lot. Despite the other party doing whatever it can to see him fail. It is their raison de etre.

I don't have TDS as I would define it. I do not get riled up that he is President. I do not want him removed by any other means than a vote next November. I believe the country is far better off having him as President than any liberal/progressive/socialist Democrat.

If you define TDS as noticing that he is childish (calling people names!) and boorish (previous example, plus paying off the skank you were sleeping with while wife was pregnant, plus whatever the exact Billy Bush quote was), then you are wrong in your definition.

And the people that voted him IN in 2016 must have trusted him MORE than the other candidate. If now people will trust the Democrat candidate more, they have the option of voting him or her in in 2020.

I knew you'd get to it. If
Obama had used the exact
same words you never
would have thought about
it. It's Trump! says it all.
Your TDS is showing again..

I answered a post or two earlier, but.... Obama, with all his faults, never acted that way. So if he DID act that way, I WOULD have added it to the list of reasons I didn't like him as President.

It will be funny if it's "Sleazy Trump" versus "Creepy Joe"!

I don't like the President's behavior but I also feel it is ridiculous for look for something offensive in every statement. While people chase rainbows and unicorns trying to prove him this or that, things keep getting done that are good for our country. If you watch MSNBC, CNN, or the major network news shows, you might not know that at all. They spend almost all their time on what the President does that may be wrong in their eyes and very little on what is going right. Fox is the exception, of course, but I'd also like to see them be more "fair and balanced"...come to think of it, have I even heard that statement in a while?

This means the press is corrupt. It isn't reporting the stories as they are, it is taking sides. If they reported it fairly...across the board...the President's poll numbers would be much different. He'd have negative highs in things like being politically and politely incorrect (sometimes to the point of distraction, which is not good), getting along with others, embellishing the truth or even lying, etc. and positive highs in getting the job done in spite of everything tossed in his path.

I believe that this whole impeachment deal springs from the fact that he is getting things done. If the economy was in the tank and nothing got done at all, Democrats would have a good shot at taking the Presidency. Instead, they see someone who is repugnant to them but is also getting things done. The whole country votes in November, not just the Beltway crowd and newsies, and a whole lot of people feel good about the country...and a whole bunch are even a little afraid to say it out loud. That makes the poll numbers inaccurate. It also makes it clear to them that the President must be stopped and that they don't have the candidate to do it at this point.

Yes, the President may get undo praise due to the economy...and the opposite. President Obama did and so does Trump. It is the way things go.

Our standards of decorum are now lower than ever...but you are ignoring a whole lot if you think that is tied to just this President. I've called him out, even written to the WH about it, but it started long before him and he is more a symptom of how bad it has gotten; not the cause of it.

To do something for the wrong reason doesn't cut it. You can call it good economic results, but I call it a bribe to keep a crook in office which is what I happen to think we're doing, if he stays.

I've said I'd take another Republican, to get rid of him. So the idea I have to have a Democrat doesn't phase me one bit.

Sure, I'll take the position no one's perfect. This guy is too much over the line.

Also, I happen to think what he is accused of is impeachable and convictable. Not something made up to get him.

One of the articles, Article II, is an absolute joke and NO ONE of sound mind should support it. It is laughable, at best. He is accused of "Obstruction of Congress." While that could, properly done, be an actual article worthy of consideration, the path the Democrats took makes it just plain silly. The proper path for making it a valid article would have been to use the courts to determine whether or not the President was correct in his stance of not providing the witnesses and/or documents. Once the courts said that he must cooperate in some form, his refusal to do it at that point would have been something properly addressed through an article of impeachment.

The other article, Article I, is one we can argue about. Some of us think it does not reach anywhere near the threshold of "high crimes and misdemeanors" and some think it is so bad that he should be removed from office.

I find it interesting that the Democrats in Congress, instead of presenting a great case for impeachment after a solid process and the proper use of the courts, now want the Senate to do a better job than they did. They presented a partisan impeachment, now they want a fair trial.

Seems most everyone is doing the same thing. Using a real criminal trial as a comparison when it suits them and ignoring it when it doesn't. From what I heard, evidence can be brought it at any time in a regular trial until the final moment.

Huh? Look up "Contract with the American Voter".

Said he wouldn't lower taxes on rich people. 80% of the benefits of his tax bill went to rich people. He said he would cut the brackets from 7 to 3, but his tax bill introduced even more complexity. He promised his tax bill would allow Americans to deduct child care and elder care. It didn't.

Said Mexico would pay for the wall. American taxpayers are paying for renovations to old fencing.

Said he would eliminate the debt. 1 trillion dollar deficits are back under his watch.

Said he would fully repeal and replace Obama care and provide health care for everybody and it will be great. More people are without health care since he took office.

Said he would expand the economy 4% annually. He has yet to even cross the 3% threshold, something that hypocritical conservatives continuously criticized Obama for, not acheiving an annual rate of at least 3%, even as the Untied States economy outperformed its peers globally.

He said he would end common core. He's taken no action on it.

He said he wouldn't play golf because he would be so busy working for us in the WH. It would take 33 years of donating his 400k salary BACK to the American tax payer to pay for his golf trips so far. (I won't even compare the costs to Barack Obama because the contrast is so stark. Remember, conservatives, when you were up in arms about Obama golfing? Add it to the ever expanding list of your hypocrisies.)

Honestly, I could keep going, on and on and on and on. He's a fraud and he has NOT "done and been exactly what he said he would do and be."
