The tempo of attacks is clearly increasing. Not saying there was coordination between this and Orlando, but am saying the cultural pressure is building and to expect more of this. Expect no change in reaction at this point, either. Same actors will point our or defend the same people as at the current tempo not enough pain has been inflicted to change minds.

Safest to run zig-zag away I would think. But in dogfighting they teach pilots to not let someone on their 6 as it is harder to hit something coming at you. Seems same if you wanted to run someone down like Deathrace 2000. Coming at you and you have to react faster. Running away and you get to line up on them.

Test? How exactly do you reliably conduct such a test. Government agent: "Do you believe in sharia?"; Applicant: "No".

First question (of many): Deport them to where? Many were born in the U.S.

I assume it was a Diesel engined truck... if so, could it have been zapped with a Tesla Gun as easily as it can be done with a modern fuel injection gasoline driven car?

Some sturdy vehicles parked along the route ready to pull out and hit it, probably could have stopped it earlier.

I think the route was cleared for pedestrians, which made it easy. Nothing but soft targets.

Such barriers are common in the USA... often disguised as art work they block doors of stores with high value merchandise to prevent stolen ram cars from being used in a smash and grab raid. Or they surround gas pipes and propane tanks. The history of France requires broad open spaces to prevent troops from being pinned down in narrow twisty streets. Broad open areas can't be barricaded. Paris removed its public trash cans because they could conceal bombs.
