Republican House speaker Paul Ryan is refusing to back Trump
Not surprised
Just 1 of many republicans not backing Trump

He said he's "not ready" to support him.

I'm sure some half-hearted endorsement will come eventually.

But still.... ouch.

I'm looking forward to a civil war within the GOP.

It's really too bad Clinton ran this year, as too many conservatives suffer from CDS (Clinton Derangement Syndrome), a condition not unlike BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome). Were trump running against a less controversial Democrat, the civil war would be on now.

As soon as one of them endorses him, they are put in the position of having to defend whatever he says next, or somehow distance themselves.

Sounds like a big headache at a minimum.

Just saw the clip. He said he wants to
and probably will, just not 'ready at
this time'. Wow, devastating. lol

Yeah, because so many people base their vote on endorsement of another politician!

Yeah, endorsements seem to be something the media, and the politicos think are important, but mostly it's pretty minimal effect. It -may- generate interest in a lesser known candidate, but especially for Trump, endorsement of sitting senators doesn't matter... they aren't his constituency. Those who care what Paul Ryan says already know what Trump is.

Not ready at this time - to me that means he doesn't want to, but knows he has to, because the alternative of a split republican party or some third party run would mean a clinton victory.

That is, unless everyone gets very lucky and a viable third party or independant candidate that would appeal to the people who would otherwise vote for clinton runs.

Wouldn't that be great? A democratic and a republican candidates that nobody wants, and two viable independant alternatives?

I know - it's a pipe dream.

They said last week it's already too
late to register in all 50 states.

With such a groundswell of support for a new
type of president, it will be interesting to see
if the country elects the establishment candidate
again. You can't get any more rock solid, boring,
we know them inside and out establishment
candidates than the Clinton's. Just looking at
them puts you to sleep.

Millennials are very appearance conscious. Hard to see how they look at Hillary and do not see how bad she looks.
