If Midsomer Murders is number 10, there must be some really dreadful ones below it. Foyle is in the 40's, I imagine it's not popular with the Brit millennials.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Never understood the love for Midsomer Murders. But your probably right about Millenials not loving Foyle's War. Course, this is only IMDB rankings, but I suspect Foyle's is lower on a lot of lists. It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die.... it's called Life |

Think E.T., but on steroids. It really sucked me in, all 8 hours of it. But I have to say it is kind of an incoherent mess. A strange collection of movie monsters and sci-fi themes. |

It will also have ALL Trek series to date: TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and the other one. They had TNG until recently. I discovered I liked browsing the ep list and watching the eps I'd liked only, rather than watching the whole series. That's good, because Voyager, while not up to the level of its predecessors, has some really good eps ("The Year of Hell" in particular). Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I looked hard at this last week and said no thanks, thanks to tons of reviews like these on Nflix and IMDB. Awful 1/10 Author: zavosatis 16 July 2016 Although it starts quite nice, it gets more awful by the minute. The dialogues appear as if spoken by the Teletubbies, everything is repeated at least twice. Winona Ryder (who used to be wonderful!) acts like a 70 year old lunatic witch with weird gestures and wide eyes, even the rest of the cast is screaming and yelling most of the time. The 3 main kids act completely over the top, including all those movements and slang kids use TODAY, but didn't in the 80s! The Natalia Dyer story line (please give her something to eat! She looks as if she is falling apart any time!) is schmaltzy beyond compare, and contains by far the stupidest acting. What is worst, there is probably not one original thought in the whole series, it is just one big mashup from Poltergeist to E.T., the Goonies, Indiana Jones' sidekick Short Round, even Minority Report. You name any other 80s' flick, it's there. But - and this is a huge big BUT - Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) is absolutely amazing! Every gesture, every shy gaze rips your heart into pieces. She definitely deserves much better than this crap series. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

| Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 148 Posts: 25978 | I've learned how to read reviews. I never read the positive ones, any idiot can like something. I look at the negatives and how many there are, and the degree of negativity. If there aren't many and they are mild, the show is probably OK. If there are a lot, like there are for Stranger Things, and they are vicious and go on and on, the show most definitely sucks. So far this has been a pretty good rule of thumb. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Was weird, saw cops and worried for the worst as there was an early morning shooting a few years back in the same general area. Then I see a truck with several vintage-looking late-70s Novas go by. Then I get on the bus to work and see all the news media. Too bad it was not a last year, I walked the area daily then and would have had the time to scope it all out. Here is to hoping they pick it up! War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

She was the main reason for the series being as compelling. ![]() |

| Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | ![]() Earth 2 has been revived on Netflix after 22 years. A very ambitious series that only lasted 21 episodes, on of the stars was a little girl who sadly died before age 22. |

Oh? That's really interesting. When it ran, I had a hard time getting it. Many episodes trailed off rather than end. It wasn't until I was deep into watching Babylon Five that I realize dit was also an arc show. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
