I am 53 and have never tried it even though it is now legal. My vices are cigarettes and alcohol, if I ever take up another one I really do think I will try heroin.

I'm 60 and I have tried alcohol and cigarettes but thats it. I dont drink and I dont smoke tobacco. My best friend is an alcoholic that smoked a ton of cigs in his life. He vapes now but still smokes on vacation.
Never tried Heroin. I would only consider heroin on my deathbed.

I smoked it all the time in
my early 20's. It makes you
feel stupid, don't bother. If
your an adult and still need
to feel stupid, you have more
problems than weed will kill.
You can literally feel your IQ
level go down by 40 points.

It's always about the money. I couldn't believe the banks let congress cut them out of their vig this long.

Amen, that's the truth.

The tell is that Congress helped out the banks before removing it from Schedule 1. This makes a mockery of the rule of law. The drug warriors are right about one thing: marijuana makes sane people do loopy things.

America’s Invisible Pot Addicts.

An interesting take on legalization. In my job of all things I need to attach a rider stating if a person loses their home to seizure to the feds for cultivation we will not cover the loss. In training we had an hour or so discussion on it. That one was fine with me as 90% of training was stuff I mostly knew and I even knew a tidbit a guy with 19 years did not know. That either raised my status or made me look like a nerd, and I don't care much which.

Anyhow, article makes some good point that the "danger" of pot is not medical so much as it slows you down and takes over your life if you do not watch. The "escape" is all you spend your day caring about. Eventually you are so far behind in the race you think you are in the lead. Meanwhile your life falls to pieces as you neglect important things.

Will this be all people? No. Will it be a fairly large part of the pot users? I kind of believe so. Best bet is to sell into and leverage off of it as you cannot help this kind.

Every regular pot user I've known
always says their lives are fantastic.
Buddy Hackett smoked it every
day in his early career and thought
he was going gangbusters in show
biz. His agent finally convinced him
he was going nowhere fast and
he quit the dope. I know when I
used to smoke I thought the
stupidest things were great a lot
of the time.

From what I have seen it really is a "build up" thing. Some people occasionally use to little ill effect. But regular users end up caring just about getting high and maybe mediocre rock bands. The rest of life passes them by.

Same here. All the regular pot users I know in real life are all total losers.

And guess what? They're all libbies too. 🤣🤣🤣

I watch hiking videos. One of my faves
is guy in his early 40's who smokes
pot several times a day. He does
interesting videos, and is supported
by Patreon donors. He smart and
witty and colorful. And a loser.

He owns nothing, not a car, not
property, nothing. He hikes for
a living the last 3 years and stays
high all the time. One day he
will get injured, and his hiking days
will be behind him and the money
will disappear. And he'll have nothing.

The pot keeps him from fully realizing
the position he's in. He can't see the
future beyond his next break to smoke
pot.
