No doubt. My point is, the Vatican is always trying to rewrite history by lying about what really happened. No matter how much FrG tries to defend them. It's stories like this of them getting caught red handed that shows these aren't the old days, it's much harder to get away with being deceitful today. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I think if this had happened before, it would have been revealed, and probably referenced. I think it's a big blow to their credibility, and I'm guessing their response will be to take some measure to regain that. But it's likely unfair to class this as "always" trying to rewrite history. They tried something devious and were caught. Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has |

Really? Try reading a historians version of the Inquisitions, and the Vatican's. It's like they aren't even talking about the same subject. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

If you did read real historians about the Inquisition many of the outrageous myths folks like Evenbob believe are shown to be false. I couldn't encourage Bob or any of us enough to read a good history of the Inquisition. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Meaning real Vatican approved historians. We went thru this here a couple years ago, where I posted link after link of what happened in the Inquisitions. You had a fit over the what the Jewish Encyclopedia said, like the Vatican's version is any less biased than the people the Church victimized. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Pope Francis says, "They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls." https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/pope-francis-there-no-hell If you take a risk, you may lose. If this is accurate, it should be front page news. Hell has been a cornerstone to scaring people into joining for 2,000 years. On the protestant side, only the most liberal Christians will say there is no hell, as the bible mentions hell several times. If true, I applaud the Pope Francis, but think the hard-liners will not be in agreement. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

The Vatican is saying what it always says, the pope was 'misunderstood' and he didn't really say it. The Vatican rewrites history even while it's happening. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
