Men who "present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called gay culture" are ineligible for the Catholic priesthood.

Sounds like you don't have to be
having Gay sex to be shut out,
any Gay tendencies will get you
banned. 'Deep-seated' is a joke,
if you're Gay there is no middle
ground. Just like for straight men,
deep-seated has no meaning.

I'm as straight as you can get. The
Vatican is showing their Victorian
way of thinking by doubling down
on their bigoted discrimination.
At a time when they desperately need
new priests.

You forget that the apology is an act of political appeasement and will be no stronger than necessary and will be accompanied by no more meaningful action as is politically necessary. Vatican press agents have lots of stronger press releases and lots of weaker press releases all ready to go but as always will wait to see which way the winds blow.

Its sort of like the police chief in Casablanca who agreed that presently the winds blow from Vichy. Its a statement that implies submission to the current state but no belief whatsoever as to its legitimacy or permanence.

Heck, I had doubt as to what a QI was but now realize its not QI but Q space I and stands for Queer and Intersex. However I thought G for Gay covered Queer and also covered Lesbians, so who knows: I imagine acronyms are changeable.

Sort of like that minority group that goes around complaining society won't accept their view that anorexia nervosa is not a disease but an ideal body type, much to be desired and constitutes a Constitutionally Protected Right which should allow them to be free advertising showing normal body form women.

Not at all. It might be best understood as how do you identify yourself. If you consider yourself a gay seminarian that would be an issue. If you were a seminarian who also happened to be gay then that is not a problem.

What do you mean by "gay culture"? Supporting and loving homosexual men and women is not a problem, in fact it is a requirement to be a priest.
