I canceled my Gillette subscription service (they automatically send you a package of new blades once a month/3 months/6 months
In the "reason for canceling" section, I wrote that if they thought men were toxic then surely they no longer wanted my toxic money

Dragging a extremely sharp single blade across my face
No thanks
I love my electric razor

There's a reason that men shave with
razors and not electric shavers. Quality
of the result.

I don't use blades because I have sensitive skin and don't know how to shave properly, as I always end up with a few cuts. So, I'm an electric shaver guy. What bothers me is claims that electric shavers can shave as "close as a blade or your money back."

Is it that I don't know how to use an electric razor either or is this claim just ridiculously false?

p.s. I prefer Braun to Remington any day, but am open to suggestions.

I have tried electric razors in the past but was never satisfied with them - plus, when you shave everyday, an electric razor will not give you a straight line on your sideburns and you end up having to use a razor value to make them even anyway -- and yes, I know there are electric razors that have a straight edge but, when the hair is so short from shaving everyday, the electric does not do the job

Try the new Barbasol razors. Great results not that expensive. Make sure to get the good ones, they also have a disposable that should be disposed of. Disposable razors are only for a man's go-bag. Otherwise avoid them!

I shave in the shower. Weird thing is I got the idea from a friend. Got a mirror and put it in the shower. My dad saw it and tried the same. Then I visit at my sister's husband (then BF) place and he has a mirror in the shower. I ask and he said he saw it at my parent's place. That is how much everyone liked it. After 5-10 minutes showering your beard is soft as it is going to get.

If you do not use that method, make sure you rinse the blades with cold water, not hot. Everyone naturally wants to use hot, but it messes with the blade and your skin. Use tap cold.

I used to have an electric just for a touch-up before I'd go out in the evening and such. Got older and stopped caring as much.

Had 3 of them in my life, they never
did a good job. Ever had a straight
razor shave by a pro? Now that's a
shave. Face as smooth as a baby's
butt. I could get hooked on it.

I have a very light beard but want to do that one day. Actually I want to one day do one of those manly spa days either at a casino spa or if I can just find one to go to. Then go play poker.

I have been thinking of getting an electric razor to keep in the office in case I have a date after work

Wait a second, I haven't been on a date in 3 years (just saved myself $79)
