If you associate Democrats with slavery why do you keep representing the wrong flag symbol as your avatar on the other site?

My avatar had nothing to do with slavery. It has to do with rebelling against an over controlling central government.

I think it is safe to say the Democrats have not been this hostile to a GOP POTUS since Lincoln.

I keep forgetting how hated Lincoln
was, hated by everybody in DC.

"As to the politics of Washington, the most striking thing is the absence of personal loyalty to the President. It does not exist. He has no admirers, no enthusiastic supporters, none to bet on his head. If a Republican convention were to be held to-morrow, he would not get the vote of a single State."

The press reviled him and thought
he was an imbecile. His own party
hated him because he was a political
outsider. He only got nominated for
a 2nd term because the way they
did it was different then. He was
spit on by the press every day he
was in office. Sound familiar?

Yet he is regarded inarguably as
the greatest president we ever had.

Sure whatever.

I believe some southern states would not even put him in the ballot. Remind you of California?

May you live in interesting times!

It almost seems like GOP backers are never more proud of their party than when they were liberal.
The mind hungers for that on which it feeds.

It only took 3 months into Lincoln's
2nd term till he was killed. But by
then the decisions made by him was
ending the war, and he died a hero.

He was hated every bit of what Trump is,
for no reason other than he was
an outsider who won because shitheels
were running against him. He was
the monkey wrench in the works,
just like Trump.

Yes, I agree Trump does have one thing in common with anyone who is hated. That's about all he has in common with Lincoln.

Trump has one thing Lincoln didn't
have, a huge base supporting him.
Lincoln was elected because 4
different parties had candidates,
he only got 37% of the vote.
In 1864 he finagled his nomination
and would have lost had not Atlanta
fallen in Sept of 64. He was an
overnight hero and still barely won.

He never had the base of support
Trump has.

The orig commercial has twice as many dislikes
as likes on Utube. 350000 comments! Many of
them are hilarious.

I was right, the commercial was written by
and directed by a feminist. She violated
Don Drapers first rule of advertising. Never
ever ever shame or belittle the people
you're trying to attract. This ad has done huge
damage to the Gillette brand, men are
boycotting because they're really pissed.

This parody of the Gillette commercial
is hilarious. I had to watch it twice to catch all
the references.

I canceled my Gillette subscription service (they automatically send you a package of new blades once a month/3 months/6 months
In the "reason for canceling" section, I wrote that if they thought men were toxic then surely they no longer wanted my toxic money
