Harrison Ford injured on set of new Star Wars
movie today. Disney is making a Star Wars?
Oh, Disney bought Lucasfilm 2 years ago, that
explains it.

I'm sure the new trilogy will bring in record crowds, but I have a feeling that the whole thing is gonna suck. Episodes 1-3 were terrible, IMHO.

Disney just wants to milk this for all it's worth. (Not that I can blame them)

All the SW movies sucked except the first 3.
I don't think I watched any of the last ones all
the way through. Now you have 72 year
old Ford playing Hans Solo again, oh boy.

I agree. Episodes 4-6 were the best.

I remember looking forward to Episodes 1-3 when George Lucas announced (back in the 90's) that they were going to start filming, but other than the special effects, all 3 of them sucked. These Hollywood bigwigs never know when to leave a good franchise alone.

The same thing has happened with Star Trek. I liked it in its first run on TV—granted, I was VERY young, but I loved the visuals—yet they didn't leave that one alone, either.

Hollywood is so UNoriginal.

The Jedi knew better but okayed Anakin anyways. Anakin tried to prevent a future he feared and in the process was responsible. Feels like gambling and I like the story. Very classic tale.

Battle for Baghdad looms as thousands answer Iraqi government's call to arms and jihadists bear down on capital

Good going, Barry. Your legacy is already taking shape!

Iraq is going the way of South Vietnam. When do we see the helicopters at the embassy?

You must not be keeping up with the news. She described herself as "dead broke" when she left the White House and complained about the mortgages on her houses. (Notice that's plural)

You're right, she's not rich. *FACEPALM*

Very few people except the ultraright looking to fault the dems at every statement are paying attention to Hilary right now. If she said the same thing in the middle of 2016, that should raise a few eyebrows.

I didn't say she wasn't rich. I said what their net worth was but that they flag a foundation that helps millions of people. That Foundation will show that the Clintons are generous and care about the poor, despite their richness.

The public knows that presidential candidates are wealthy -- you can no longer run for president if you are not. It's the perception of generosity (or lack of, in Romney's care) that matters.

And Bain Capital (not that it matters) invested in plenty of companies that created jobs.... overseas. But he did create plenty of wealth for his investors, while shipping manufacturing jobs overseas. Washington Post article.

I'm waiting for the obvious Republican argument, and am hoping that AZ will make it; I know Beethoven will just come back with a misconstrument of what I actually said with the requisite *facepalm*.

Mission Accomplished. Invade a foreign country, kill hundreds of thousands of civilians, develop a plan for leaving -- hopeful that the government and military stands, and watch it all unfold.

An ill-conceived war with an ill-conceived conclusion. Need I remind anyone who started the war in the first place? Yeah, it's Barry's legacy. American arrogance and morality at its best.

That sounds like a shift to me. FYI, this is what I had said in my earlier post:

Quote:
Remember how the media was fixated on Mitt Romney's wealth in 2012? Let's see if they're gonna be equally fixated on the Clintons' wealth.
So you've successfully taken my statement and made a subtle shift to focus on people "not paying attention to Hillary right now". *sigh*

No, they don't. The public overwhelmingly thinks that Republicans are rich and that Democrats are just average Joes. Part of the reason for that is the liberal media, which will harp on Republicans' wealth (e.g., Romney) while giving Democrats a pass.

This proves that you're not educated on this issue. Either that, or you only get your info from the liberal media. FYI, Romney gave more to charity than both Obama and Biden in 2011:

Romney gives more to charity than Obama, Biden

What does Bain have to do with this discussion? Nice tangent.

In any case, if you really want to go there, you need to stop relying on the liberal media as your only source:

Not at all, that would be a shift. Beethoven doesn't shift. ;)

Six years into a presidency, and you're still blaming somebody else? The Bergdahl deal was somebody else's fault too, right?

Doesn't sound like you want solutions at all. Sounds like you just want to shift the blame for what's happened during Obama's entire presidency.
