I can't imagine waiting more than a few minutes for anyone's autograph. I have three sports autographs. One I didn't wait a minute for, though I walked all of three blocks. The other two were at company conventions so we were there anyways. Since the later two spoke to us it was kind of a "complete the package" experience. Very neat then, less so now. I just shook my head last time my booker told me not to ask for autographs from the client. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Having lived for about 5 years in the States, I know that experience isn't true. I even lived or some time in downtown Chicago (in the Loop) and downtown Hartford and was able to feel reasonably safe walking at night. My apartments and homes didn't get broken into, though my cell phone was stolen from my garage when I was living in Snohomish, WA, and my car has been broken into several times (in Canada). Not enough to shoot someone, though. |

A few are, but I recognize that 98%+ are not, and the police force, in my opinion, represents our best hope at a just society. Obviously some other people don't feel the same way. |

You're the wish washy cousin of Oprah, who is against guns, unless they're worn by her body guards to protect her. You kinda sorta know where you stand, but not really. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

| Beethoven Member since: Apr 27, 2014 Threads: 18 Posts: 640 | So if someone breaks into a woman's house and starts raping her, she's supposed to hope that the police are a deterrent and that the rapist will stop? People who believe this are a perfect example of why liberalism is an EPIC FAIL. Boron Boron Boron rhymes with moron, moron, moron |

There are people who think 911 is a defense weapon. They're usually called 'dead victims' later. It would never even dawn on me to call 911. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
