This is exactly the type of mentality that will end up destroying our society. (And it has already started) Boron Boron Boron rhymes with moron, moron, moron |

No, statistics say that.
So? Does that make him right? What is your opinion? You don't know if that particular cop is a gun right activist or not. I mean the POTUS makes statements every day: he's clearly the Commander-in-Chief, yet you disagree pretty much with everything he says. Just because an authoritive figure makes a statement doesn't make it so; it only makes it so if you agree with it. Bad argument. Try again. Use AZ's or Face's line. You'll be more successful. Quite simply, you are entitled to think he's a hero, and I am entitled to think otherwise. We can both be right. |

It's their acts previous to their death or in defending their life that defines them to be a hero or not (as I explained twice before). Most cops (rudeboyoi over on WoV would disagree with me) live their lives as an officer and die of natural causes and can be defined as a hero through the actions during their career. The act of getting shot while eating lunch in a restaurant while wearing the uniform does not make them heroes. |

Way, way more than started. It "started" about 1963-1965. We are 50 years into the decline. Don Draper in 1960 would not recognize what we have sadly become. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Do you know what the spokesman view on gun control? Note that the quote comes from a police official, not from the Sheriff and the statement states "To me, he was a hero". It's a personal statement. The associate sheriff called his action "heroic" as well. I'll add to the list: Police officers will call people who are trying to assist perpetrators who are trying to stop a crime in progress heroes as well, despite their possible views on gun control. Happy? |

There were cops who died trying to save people on 9/11, but they failed & the people they tried to save died. So to you, they're not heroes???? *facepalm* Seriously, do you live in the real world? Boron Boron Boron rhymes with moron, moron, moron |
