It seems everybody in this neighborhood knew about the gator, they even had a name for him, Henry. "Good old Henry, reminds me of Gentle Ben, we just love him, let's let the children line up here and they can pet him" ... a conversation I'm imagining . Well, actually, I don't imagine that last bit was said, but why the word hadn't gotten out that an attack was possible is beyond my comprehension. And maybe it's just me, but prior to the attack, it's just Ol' Henry, and now it's evil incarnate. Folks! It's a wild animal! I don't think Ol' Henry changed from one thing to another overnight. I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

This is what the RV park posted Until further notice no children are pets are allowed by the two fishing ponds until further notice... An adult must be with the child at all times.... Adults preferably their parents or someone 18 years or older must accompany all children. I have reached back out to the wildlife to please consider removing the gator that has been spotted many times in these ponds .. also no one is allowed in that area after dusk... Thank you for your help in this matter... They also posted this. ****PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT**** DO NOT FEED THE GATOR IN THE POND!! IF YOU SEE SOMEONE FEEDING THEM SAY SOMETHING TO THEM! DO NOT JUST WALK AWAY AND THEN POST ON FACEBOOK!! DO NOT WALK YOUR DOGS TO CLOSE THE PONDS! DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO PLAY AROUND ANY PONDS, LAKES ETC. GATORS ARE EVERYWHERE FOLKS... ITS FLORIDA. THEY WILL ATTACK YOU IF THEY THINK YOU ARE TO CLOSE. THEY MIGHT EVEN THINK YOU ARE FOOD. THEY WILL PROTECT THIER NEST AS WELL. THEY ARE WILD ANIAMLS NOT A TOURIST ATTRACTION.
