It's an absolute landslide against reparations. Shhh, don't tell foxnews or Tanko. They are desperately trying to keep the issue alive. Foxnews scaring grandpa since 1996 :-)

Few Americans are in favor of giving reparations to descendants of enslaved black people in the United States, a poll shows,

What do polls have to do with it. This is the task force California has struck to study it and recommend actions. None of the 9 members are white.

"California Assembly Bill 3121 establishes the Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans, with a Special Consideration for African Americans Who are Descendants of Persons Enslaved in the United States (Task Force or Reparations Task Force). The purpose of the Task Force is: (1) to study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans; (2) to recommend appropriate ways to educate the California public of the task force's findings; and (3) to recommend appropriate remedies in consideration of the Task Force’s findings.

By statute, the Task Force consists of nine members. "

Some early numbers that have been floated are $360K per person. Canada has exceeded that number in reparations to native Canadians for residential school 'survivors'

Wow
"recommend actions" ROTFL. Doesn't mean jack
The poll shows that no politician with purse strings power is going to authorize the money
Its a no brainer

They just get Congress to print out of thin air.

There's not much difference in printing another $5T.

There's no way we can pay off what we owe now.

Congress is there to access (disperse) the Treasury Funds not to conserve them.

That's why most politicians get rich in Congress.

The ones that know how to trade stocks get richer quicker using inside info.

Everyone knows the game by now.

Same place the SVB bank funds are coming from. I am too lazy to find one, but show me a poll that shows the majority of Americans are in favor of bailing out the millionaires and billionaires in Silicon Valley. It took Biden a nanosecond to approve that.

WTF
The FDIC fund and banks are going to fund reparations??????????
The FDIC fund is at risk due to bank failures but its not funded by the taxpayers. No way that fund is used for reparations

WASHINGTON — Plans announced Sunday to fully reimburse deposits made in the collapsed Silicon Valley Bank and the shuttered Signature Bank will rely on Wall Street and large financial institutions — not taxpayers — to foot the bill, Treasury officials said.

The promised reimbursements for the failures that are being covered so far are more than the money in the FDIC already and we are probably not done with bailouts yet. You should really get out of your MSM bubble TP and follow what is actually happening in the world.

FDIC has $128B in it. The SVB bailout is $175B. Simple math question which number is bigger? Who do you think covers the difference?

Never underestimate ams's ability to swallow any BS fed to him. From the article you linked "The DIF currently has over $100 billion in it, a sum the Treasury official said was “more than fully sufficient” to cover SVB and Signature depositors." SVB has substantially more in deposits than that. The feds have committed on paying out these on a short time line. Will the SVB assets be enough to cover the shortfall long term? That remains to be seen.
