You didn't mention the ALL TIME RECORDS that have now been set. The Dow Jones industrial average jumped by 1,523 points, or 5.3%, at the open to 29,846 points -- over its previous record high set in February. Did the market surge because Wall Street is so enamored with a Biden presidency or because Pfizer announced interim results of their vaccine trial that indicate that it is 90% effective? We can only speculate. The mind hungers for that on which it feeds. |

Whatever happens in the future, those third quarter resuts show Biden won't be able to blame any reversals on Covid. Two reasons for today's increase: Main reason. Pfizer reported 90% success rate with their Covid vaccine. Wall Street expects massive debt expansion promised by Biden administration. |

Generally agree. Biden was known to be winner by anyone not entrenched in the Trump camp by the day after election day. I give Biden, and the presumed Republican Senate, the credit for those upticks. Today is mostly about the presumed vaccine. But clearly Wall Street has reacted positively to Biden winning. |
