Because anybody that reads the transcript, in conjunction with the context of the events leading up to it, can easily see what transpired in the call.

Yes, just a normal conversation with an ally.

Why are the lefties so concerned with a phone call and not crooked Joe?

Let's take out even the argument that this was a quid pro quo. You're okay with a sitting POTUS asking the leader of a foreign country to investigate an American citizen?

And do you realize that if what Trump and the conspiracy theorists say about Joe and Hunter Biden were true, that Joe's actions actually made things harder for his son? The facts, and more importantly, the timeline of events, completely debunk this theory. It's ridiculous to even entertain, but carry on. Just know, I'm not the one insulting your intelligence.

The people doing that are the very same people you're celebrating.

We have a treaty with Ukraine to do so. Were you aware of that?

His son gets a job he has no qualifications for because his dad is running for POTUS. Do you not see what is going on? Same as the Clinton Foundation getting donations right up until Hillary lost. Follow the money. You are indeed insulting my intelligence in denying the connection. A child could see it.

Sure. It looks swampy. We agree on that. Hunter himself acknowledged this in his interview.

Now, what you're doing is that you're throwing away ALL THE OTHER FACTS AND TIMELINE of events surrounding this theory that completely debunk it in exchange for, "well, it looks swampy so it must be swampy." The right's theory and the video of Biden that they say proves it implies that the Obama administration withheld money to Ukraine in exchange for ousting Shokin, the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma. In exchange, they were going to get a new investigator that would actually investigate corruption? Something that the entire world had been asking of Ukraine for years? Thus, making things tougher for Hunter? Yeah, sure makes a ton of sense!

If the Obama administration had a corrupt foreign policy towards Ukraine, which is what you are implying, why is Geoffrey Pyatt still employed in the Trump administration?

What is it that you want? The Kurds have been on the payroll since 05 to destabilize a democratic government [Syria]?

Our relationship with the Kurds only goes back to 2005? Learn something new everyday! Thanks!
Do you think we didn't have a relationship with Ukraine before 2014?

add: what is Trump in trouble with the left for, not sending weapons soon enough?

When it comes to what US international policy should be in an area of the world where I am not an expert in
I defer to our to our State Dept experts and the Pentagon.
Seems the consensus in that Trump has committed a stupendous blunder

When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Didn't you want to intervene in HK, just a couple weeks ago?

I am not going to defend Trump.

But, the State Dept. has a lot of vested interests. The President is the Commander in Chief for a reason, sometimes they have to make decisions on their own.
