The thing is this. Even if you believe in global warming you have to believe that our temps pre-1970s were at such a perfect level that a very small increase will play all kinds of havoc. That is a very tall order.

What would be your personal reference conditions for "panic mode" and at that stage is their still ample time to react successfully to it?

Personally, I'd rather be on the train that stops a half mile too early on news the bridge ahead is washed out, than a half mile too late.

How do you "solve" hurricanes? They are weather and they are going to happen. Mankind cannot magically stop storms.

As to "made up ones" that would be the best way to describe global warming.

Thanks to Sabine Hossenfelder [you like her, yes?] we learned Germany's solution was to spend billions on a Hydrogen Energy System that can't possibly work, but she suspects they secretly just plan to use that infrastructure to store natural gas. So the dishonesty is also hard to take

To answer your question, I don't see conditions ever developing for panic mode. Can the climate get so bad that we have food shortages and deserts everywhere? Florida 90% under water ? Possibly, but most rational people would argue against it getting that bad. A return to more normal Ice Age conditions would be much worse. And that of all the scenarios is an almost certain eventual outcome ... all this way beyond our lifetimes.

Well, we better wise up and go to the only thing that's going to get it done, and that's a worldwide energy system based on Nuclear. You ready for that?

I've been ready for worldwide nuclear power since the 7th grade. Add solar, wind and deep well geothermal, all augmented with fossil fuels as a fail safe, that makes for one hell of a resilient power grid. Make our nuclear plants thorium, and drink the drink of the contented!

Global Warming ideology is a part of a larger "sell" to reduce population.

It's a little more difficult to understand if only leaping into the Global Warming scam.

It's easier to understand if you go into the history of depopulation ideology, close to the inception, and the math of population doubling, and then work your way down to Global Warming.

The main concept to understand is, plants grow faster with more CO2, so the scam will eventually cause famines.
