The private planes do matter.

They matter to me. When I was travelling a lot they made it so much easier because we could fly into small airports closer to where our business was. I thought the best part was pulling up to the hanger and parking right next to the plane. We would be in the air in about 10 minutes after boarding.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

What is going to happen is going to happen. We cannot change the climate of an entire planet.

And there it is a ditto-head article of faith. I’m surprised y’all haven’t organized into a formal religion.

Global warming is a religion. A religion for atheists. See, sea levels have been changing for 4.5 billion years. To think they are going to stop just because we have built condos by the beach is the height of human arrogance. The planet rules us, we do not rule the planet.

The believers go nuts if you do not follow. I watched a MGTOW video once and the woman on it her biggest concern was “they don’t believe in climate change!”

I like watching the ones that are looking for a man with $250,000 minimum income per year and the women are in their 30s or 40s.

Certainly another way to look at a “slow” season.

Quote:
There have now been eight Category 4 or 5 hurricane landfalls on US soil in the past eight years.

That’s as many as the entire 57 years that came before it.

The comment about the model's shortcoming not negating the climate change premise is my opinion. I did not mean to imply that it came from the article. I don't pretend to know the science but any explanation for antarctic growing sea ice has to be consistent with the massive amount of data that shows that global temperatures are warming. so you can't just say "well the model doesn't predict this so the global temp must be stable after all". Antarctic land ice is shrinking. the amount of global sea ice is decreasing. Sea levels are rising. They can't spin it they have to do the hard work to test hypotheses with data. Until then they have to say they don't know. Something political types never do.

Well what do you know. Turns out 2020 was a one off.

I think I found the article you are quoting

Quote:
Helene’s landfall continues an extraordinary streak of intense hurricane landfalls in the continental United States. Over the past eight years, Helene marks the eighth Category 4 or 5 hurricane landfall, as many as happened over the previous 57 years combined.
This would seem to be a hard claim to be get wrong

Quote:
This hurricane season is running slightly ahead of recent climate norms and continues the streak of highly active Atlantic hurricane seasons over the past decade.
This makes me think they got it wrong LOL... as this is definitely wrong! Incredibly wrong!

If I had the time I'd go back and find the claim that someone found hurricanes hitting FL have been decreasing in intensity lately, at least before these last two

I like the ones tearing apart articles that say why you should date single moms. But back to subject, men going MGTOW is a societal shift. Has happened in Korea and Japan already, though I do not see those two influencing things here. Shift means many things, but the woman's first thing is, "THEY ARE LESS LIKELY TO BELIEVE IN GLOBAL WARMING!" Like that is a problem.
