From 2000 to 2020, the world has a net loss of forests. The US, Canada and Russia also have net loss, Brazil as well (cutting down the Amazon rainforests). We are (a) cutting down more trees than we replant each year. (b) Cutting down old growth forests, which provide habitat for biodiversity (c) pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere that the plants on land an sea are able to use. The rest just builds up.

Just a bit of hyperbole to illustrate that Trump doesn't care about climate change and/or not burning more fossil fuel. In fact, I heard him use the old Sarah Palin line" drill drill drill" in one of his recent rallies.

If you were actually informed you would know that natural gas is the biggest reason for CO2 declines.

Also, gasoline does not come from the gas station. You have to drill for oil to make it. The people who demand we stop drilling are the first to whine when the price of gasoline goes up.
