Also, holocaust denier is used as a factual claim. It's not an insult if the person embraces it; it's a fact made about someone who actually claims the holocaust was fake. (despite Wiz's rules about insults which is just his preference not reality)

No, come yourself. When someone calls me a god denier, I don't think it refers to the holocaust. I was on an atheist board on usenet (newsgroups from circa 1990) for a long time, and it never occurred to me.

Besides every post I post about climate change doesn't specifically refer to OG. So, it's not always about you. Some people are absolute deniers. If there's a word that's more succinct, I'll use that instead.

You are just too funny! The Obama’s bought beachfront property because they want to be on a beach! They have more money than they know what to do with. By the time it turns into a ‘bad investment’ they will have enjoyed years of beachfront living.

My climate change thoughts are pretty simple. You have to really be an ostrich to deny man’s actions are in some ways responsible for climate change. Probably the same mental malfunction that leads to not believing COVID vaccines are an overall good for society. Or believing that Trump beat Biden. It’s one and the same affliction.

But….. I will certainly agree with DG, OG, and AZ that the ‘fixes’ proposed by the mainstream (Democrat) politicos are more intended for political reasons than actual fixing of a problem. I (and the majority of Americans) am too selfish to give up my gas car, my air conditioning, my multiple airline trips, my tons of garbage I generate, etc…
Parts of the country still require periodic blackouts and we are converting to EVs? Shouldn’t we fix that problem before adding more EVs? As usual our elected officials do it backwards.

Excuse line next. "We have to do it wrong a few times before we get it right" The answers aren't clearcut. But they rarely are, unless we've done it before, and we haven't. That's why we can't just wait until the right time to start, IMO. If we wait until China and India are ready, they'll be selling us all the supplies and equipment by then, if they aren't already.
