Did you read my whole post? Being in a comedy movie does not make you a comedian. At all. You're just reading lines somebody else wrote. A comedian stands on a stage alone and makes people laugh with material he himself wrote. There are people who only write comedy and never perform it because they aren't funny. Most of the writers on SNL aren't comedians, they have no idea how to make people laugh at the stuff they write. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

That's kind of a funny concept. We all know songwriters who write incredible songs (like Leonard Cohen) but don't have the beautiful voices. But they all perform anyway even if they sound like they are gargling gravel. |

The old comedians like Bob Hope and George Burns and Milton Berle would often buy jokes from professional joke writers. I remember Hope was asked on a talk show why the joke writers didn't just do the jokes themselves. Hope said something like, writing funny and being funny aren't the same thing. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I can well appreciate the fact that delivery is very important, and that some people can write much better than they can deliver. It's clearly the same way with songwriters. But even a songwriter with the most limited vocal range, still wants to perform their own songs. I just can't believe that joke writers don't have a little side gig where they try to deliver their own jokes. |

Bad comics are a dime a dozen. More people fail in the stand up comedy biz than almost any other profession. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

My bet is on Fred, he's almost 80. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

You're not missing much. I think the story line is leading up to Raj finally finding a mate. I have only been watching because it follows Young Sheldon. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

You can always get a beautiful wife with a $20 million a year salary. You don't even have to be tall. Also with $20million + salary you don't need those 6 pack abs |
