I should be clear when I mention great things I mean the greatest things ever, which is raising a family, being a loving and kind person, a good citizen, a loyal friend.

In my part of the world, that's what
average people do. It's the norm,
not the greatest thing ever.

The GTE would be inventing FB. Or
penicillin. You know, really great
things that benefit us all.

I laughed out loud comparing the greatness of inventing FB to raising kids. The greatest way you can benefit us all is by being a loving and kind person.

That sounds real nice on a Hallmark card,
but in real life it's rubbish. Nice people
generally do finish last, but they're too
nice to complain about it. There's a
great middle ground between 'loving
and kind' and useful and productive.

Now you'll say you can be both. Not
really, not if you truly want to get something
accomplished.

Hey bro can you make up your mind? Earlier you said what comes around goes around and that if you are mean or evil your life becomes miserable. Now you are saying nice guys finish last.

Why do you think in such extremes? Just
because you're not Gandhi doesn't mean
you're Jack the Ripper. There's a middle
ground, you know.

What are you talking about?

Getting back on track do you understand that we want to be good, loving, and productive people yet we all struggle to be what we want to be?

Who's this 'we' you keep talking about,
you certainly don't speak for me. If I
end up good and loving it certainly
wasn't because I intended it. Productivity
first, everything else later. Maybe, if
there's time. Life isn't a romance novel.

One of the worst things you have ever written.

Life is a romance/swashbuckling adventure/drama/sad/happy/funny/suspenseful novel with lots of twists and turns. The only thing life is not is a boring textbook. Think about the repercussions of thinking life is all about productivity and reducing yourself to a robot. That isn't very sexy or exciting and it certainly doesn't sound like there is room in such a life for reincarnation and certainly not God.

For most people, life is mundane and
boring. Absolutely. Why do you think
TV, movies and fiction is so popular?
People watch soaps because they have
no life outside of it. Do you think average
Westerners spend 6 hours a day in
front of a TV because they're forced
to? They have nothing better to do,
obviously.

Your definition of life is straight out
of a fairy tale. romance/swashbuckling
adventure/drama/sad/happy/funny/
suspenseful. Seriously, you watch way
too much TV.
