The over under on the betting markets for ‘almost there’ stands at 5.5. It’s a tough one to adjudicate. To me, even if something is ‘signed’, that might not mean much. Until the first non Iranian ship passes the straight it’s all talk. It’s easy for us to do the initial stuff which likely entails not bombing them.

I am always interested in the ‘unfreeze their assets’ part. Who gave us permission to freeze THEIR assets? Are they moving their assets to BTC? Can they use these ‘frozen’ assets to buy medicine? Do these assets include TSLA stock? Can they still vote their shares? Can Germany freeze their assets or is this just a USA thing?

Assets from by Prez Carter after the revolution in 1979. Iran taking hostages didn't help matters either. Assets are cash, securities and real estate in the US and also held abroad by nations who also seized Iranian assets at that time. Much has been written about these assets.

Trump and Pakistan is saying a final deal is agreed to, and will be signed on Friday. No info on the deal is being publicly announced at this time.

I am hopefully it is at least a decent deal.

I brought up ‘frozen assets’. Guess how much of them are in the US? JUST TWO BILLION $$. That may sound like a lot, but it’s not even a third of a generally worthless asset, like the New England Patriots. (Geno dig).

I’m now less concerned about what happens to ‘frozen assets’. If they are able to use the (total from all countries, liquid) $50 billion to help rebuild their economy, that’s good.

As best I can tell from reading the tea leaves they will not be able to develop nuclear warheads, will keep the straight unfettered, and will stop bombing Israel directly and through their terrorist proxies.

Sounds like a reasonable deal to me?

But of course, Trump ‘May’ be stretching the truth as to the details. Let’s see…

Remeber now for the last x months (what it has been now,) Trump has been saying "NO MONEY WILL BE RELEASED TO IRAN!!"

And, how Trump criticized both Obama and Biden endlessly for releasing frozen assets.

Yeah, in my opinion if 25 cents of funds are released to Iran, Trump should be mocked until the end of time after how he has been acting about frozen funds for the last 15 years...


That being said in the short term let him feel like a hero and take the deal. Once the war stops, then the endless criticism should commence. But we need the strait open ASAP.

The fat oaf has been so desperate to make "a deal" and lied so often about it that...well, let's just say "I'm skeptical."

One thing for sure: he'll be a complete laughingstock and a urinal cake if the terms of "the deal" are not a lot better than those in the 2015 Iran Deal that he pissed on.

I jest. The Pats are a supremely well run organization. And have a great owner. Had the GOAT for two decades. Quick return to relevance. I do think this iteration of the Pats got a little lucky, and will likely take a step back this year.

So no signing until Friday! So Straight stays closed until Friday! What could go wrong between now and then? I’m only giving it even money this iteration of the agreement gets signed.

Believe it when you see it! Much will be done quietly to hide trump's surrender.
Good if trump has finally found his off-ramp, and great if Hormuz traffic start's flowing. I believe the biggest point surrendered by trump is the money: Release of seized assets and removal of sanctions, maybe with a pay off for reparations.
the so called 'framework deal' should be published and trump politically judged on that. He's going to do his best at calling what gets released as fake news.

Ask yourself why cant the contents of the deal be released openly and without opinions so you can judge for yourselves?
