It's quite possible to do removals quietly if that's what they wanted to do. They don't. So, they're doing it wrong on purpose. Announcing a big influx of agents to one city or another, is sheer malfeasance.

There is a reason more people were deported under Obama than Trump (2x,) and nobody cared. The mechanism matters.

Trump is using ICE as a gestapo force to target political enemies. This isn't even disputable anymore.

Obama used ICE as a professional LE force with no masks and clear identity.

I have never been the biggest fan of ICE, but I was fine with it until this term. Sadly now, it's pure fascism, so yes people should do everything they can to oppose it.

Well, that's not the only thing for me. In what universe, do you toss away something more value kept, than thrown away? That's why I say no alternate penalty for SOME people is stupid.

Our whole system is based on alternate punishments for the same crime depending on other factors, at least until the crimes become more severe. First offender's vs repeat criminals for instance.

OTOH, if he wakes up and finds his shoes all made during the night, it's logical to consider another option. From watching the video they have him on the ground, pummeling him, and then an agent comes up and shoots him (dumps a magazine in him.) This was a straight up execution.

Maybe, maybe not.

It is reported that the deceased had a gun: what is NOT reported is whether the gun was in his hand or holstered before and at the time of the shooting.

If he violently resisted ICE with a gun in his hand: sayonara, baby...sure looks like a lawful shooting, but otherwise probably not lawful.

Hopefully video will tell the tale.

This is the only video I can still find (YouTube doesn't seem to want to host it nor do any news sites seem to.)

I don't see any sign of a gun. 4 agents holding one guy down.

Even if he had a gun on him, MN is legal carry, you can't shoot a protestor for carrying a gun that you randomly decide to arrest.

I mean probably at this point 80% of MN citizens are carrying, is that license to kill anyone who legally carries because you try to physically apprehend them?
