How badly made does a lamp need to be made to be less than two years old, just stands in one place, and stop working? I'm sure it's a China product. It only gets dusted. It's not like it's ridin' the range all day or participating in wrestling events. Bah.

Vibration twice a year might just be enough and if you are one of those excessives who dust even more frequently, it could just be a loose connection somewhere.

I'm sure it is. I'm just annoyed when things break when they are just sitting somewhere. (other than worn out bulbs)

I need some northern blue collar help.

Boots. I need a good pair, and I've never owned one in my life. Sure, I've found ones that are waterproof. But they were so good at keeping water out that they also kept water in (sweat), leading to wet feet anyways. And I've had warm ones, but you move 10' and they got downright hot, which lead to sweat, which lead to wet again. And I've had dry ones, and those just got cold.

I don't care about comfort. I'm not gonna be on my feet a lot. But I need something relatively warm (not much physical exertion) that can slosh through all types of snow and rain without getting wet. I mean not one GD drop. Since at least 3 of you are / were working men higher than 42* longitude, I thought I might find help here.

Anyone recommend a good boot?

The only thing I have found that keeps your feet warm when it is really cold is boot with a wool felt liner. Many of them come with a couple of inches of rubber on the bottom so they can handle puddles that are not too deep and slush. The usually have a fabric top of some kind that allows them to breath. The felt being wool also can absorb a lot of water and still provide good insulation. You will usually need to pull the felts out every night and dry them.

I like the hiking boots that have the gore-tex type waterproofing. This is the only type that waterproofs and breathes too, although you have other brands than gore-tex now. You know you have the right type when it is leather but says it is waterproof. It they claim to be hiking boots they will be lighter, which is a big deal to me now.

For insulation, thinsulate.

so those are suggestions from a hunter.

Over the years thousands of people have recommended a good boot to me, but they never specify the brand, just the anatomical location.

I guess you won't get Trench foot. But the more your feet are wet...

Yesterday, Oct. 28th 2015,a customer sent an email asking for all invoices from Nov. and Dec. 2015 to be delivered before Oct. 5th 2015.

Had he only sent that email on Oct. 21st 2015, he might have gotten exactly that!
