You lose on this one. The Republicans smartly (rare!) continue to pass a bill whose sole purpose is to keep the government open. The Democrats keep voting against a bill whose sole purpose is to keep the government open. By doing so the Democrats are giving Trump gobs more power to do as he pleases. Trump will be the man who keeps WIC funded despite the Democrats voting to close which holds up their funding. Trump is doing the end around to get the military paid. We’ll see if the Democrats try and stop him. The Democrats are run by idiots, frankly. It took a lot of WORK to lose to arguably the WORST Presidential candidate in history!
I do find it interesting that I haven’t heard any top level Republicans threatening to end the filibuster for this. That would be short term gratification for long term pain.

If it's significant that someone has been indicted, Trump was indicted 4 times. 2 were dismissed after he was elected. 1 was dismissed because of prosecutors' personal misconduct, and 1 was lost by Trump.

Compare Trump to Obama in shutdowns. Trump is trying to keep as much going as possible. Obama made it a point to close as much as possible as fast as possible. Remember when they coned off the pull-off where you view Mr Rushmore? No money for the budget but he found a way to put up traffic cones. Meanwhile Trump finds a way to pay the troops. Shows who is a leader and who played games with it.

Donny was going to seize gobs more power, whether there was a funding bill passed or not. And if Donny wants to play shell games with money to pay soldiers and keep WIC funded, go right ahead.
Donny won, despite being the worst candidate in history, because inflation was too damned high, he's a con man who lies about almost everything, and the GOP voter is about as smart as the wild rabbits living in my back yard, and unprincipled voters such as yourself were so consumed with Dem hatred they refused to try and stop him.
Inflation still sucks and Donny is still a distrustful liar. We'd still have a booming stock market under a President Harris. But, the MAGA voter is suffering due to Donny's trade wars. Have the day they-and you-voted for.
