Why are there trans people born in countries where they could be killed if they were revealed? Was it all the peer pressure that created them?

Of course there are people who who were born male and are more like females in their nature, and vice versa, this has been true since the beginning of time, for chromosome-normal people as well as what's called the intersex condition with chromosomes.

Why do you try to say those of us who are concerned are claiming otherwise, and how can you ignore facts like there is an explosion in the number of adolescent girls who have decided they were born with a need to change their sex?

Was there an explosion of gays when the laws eased up, or did more of them just come out? If you remember "coming out" was probably more of a big thing in the US. It still gets some attention, but not like it did.

Some of those girls that were often called "tomboys" did turn out to be lesbians. Anecdotally, I don't remember any particular influences, though anecdotes aren't exactly the strongest evidence. What influences did I see in the culture then at school or anywhere. I just can't think of anything that turned them into tomboys.

The correct view for you would be to advise against sex change but fight for the freedom of the individual to decide for themselves

I don't understand the absolutely violent reaction people have to the all of it. I have a younger niece, big on Trump and lost her mind during the "my body my choice" time. She was attending rallies, online she was calling the governor and school administrators tyrants and making many Hitler references. Just generally stupid stuff.

We're watching TV one night while she was over and they showed two gay men kissing. She absolutely lost her shit, she turned to me and said through clenched teeth, "I can't believe they show that fucking shit on TV". I was absolutely stunned by the outburst, but I didn't realize the amount of vitriol she had. I did point out to her that just a couple of years ago she was carrying a sign that said "my body my choice", so I think you got what you wanted.

We don't talk about it anymore. LOL

Gay people take testosterone and remove their breasts? I think you missed the subject change and comparison.

Maybe this will work. When you make some behavior acceptable that was suppressed either consciously or unconsciously, an explosion occurs when all those in secret come out. I actually believe those “walking away from Democratic Party” videos (someone linked those here,) were just conservatives at heart living in a liberal environment, who suddenly realized what they really resonated with the whole time. “These are my people.” That was the effect. Not one long episode of peer pressure or whatever. In fact, I think peer pressure and society is what keeps people from being who they are. If you read anything about gulags and other prison environments, it’s not so easy to turn someone. You can torture them until they give up or die though. But as soon as they’re free, Voila. They become themselves again. Damaged probably, but themselves.

Of course, I do believe in some persuasion. But hardly at the level you do.
