Works for me. How would you choose the nominee if the presumptive nominee drops out before the convention, or if the nominee drops out after the convention? |

As I wrote earlier, there is no practical perfect way. For the Republicans, there was a more ‘real’ primary with multiple options. The Democrats had already coalesced around the incumbent President with little real opposition. I can tell you this, if Trump pulls out tomorrow, the Vice Presidential candidate (Vance) is not the DeFacto presumptive candidate. Like many consider Harris to be for the Democrats. I’m sure there are too many logistical problems, but of course best is a new Primary. Pick the next Tuesday at least 10 days away. Announce by the Tuesday before. Vote. It would be great to not have it drag out for months, actually. |

The Republicans will experience the same fate if Harris beats Trump in November. I think Harris will be an even worse President than Biden was. But…. Just like Obama, I think she is young enough, and will be ‘statesmanlike’ enough to not be an embarrassment. As always, I pray if she wins the Republicans hold at least either the House or pick up the Senate. Either party with complete control is NOT good. |

The next few weeks will be interesting to see who steps up besides Harris. I am interested if someone outside of politics will make a run. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |
