you say "Gazans", I'm assuming that might include 700 innocent non-combatant Gazans

including maybe 200 children

no, I wouldn't celebrate that

then, there is this post from you:

you seem here to acknowledge that Israel has withheld aid including food to people in Gaza because of the military action

people are starving and malnourished -

this is a horrible thing which has turned a high % of the entire world against Israel

never before in history has Israel received so much criticism from so many who before this war were friendly towards Israel

from the link:

"The UN-backed International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant, together with a former Hamas commander, citing allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity."

https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/11/1157286

.

It is quite clear that aid meant for the underfed civilian population is misappropriated by Hamas terrorists. They don’t care about their own civilian population, but want you to!? Just to reset the discussion, had there not been a terrorist attack against Israel by thousands of Gazans there’s be plenty of food, water, diesel in Gaza. Gaze City would have pizza shops, bakeries, and markets bustling. There’d be accountants and doctors working unfettered in Rafah. Hamas with the support of the Gazan population made their choice.

To be clear, I don’t want 1000 dead Gazans. I want zero dead Gazans. But I want freed hostages, before they have been starved to death, more.

This, coming from a man who thinks US cops should be able to torture criminal suspects.

your implication that Israel is not to be faulted for the horrendous conditions in Gaza including starvation and malnourishment is reprehensible

a great number of the buildings where Gazans lived have been knocked down - thousands are living in tents with no sanitation and no way to prepare food even if they are able to attain it

the policies of Israel are clearly to blame - there are very few who state otherwise - even among those who in the past had strong relations with Israel

the pic is an example of Israel's food distribution plan:

If they didn’t attack Israel the builds would not be knocked down.

congratulations, that's the same reasoning terrorists use. 911 happened because they blame everyone for whatever their problem was. That's why they killed people in the twin towers, most having nothing to do with anything.

The allies fire bombed the German city of Dresden in WWII causing at least 25,000 civilian deaths, and we in the west felt justified in doing so because the Germans had elected Hitler and enabled the Nazis to presumably seek the goals they desired to achieve, i.e. they were deemed complicit.

Same with Gaza: they elected Hamas and Hamas pulled a sneak attack on Israel, same as the Japs did at Pearl Harbor: basically it was an act of war.

Think of the Israeli pogrom of starvation as akin to fire bombing but at a much slower pace.

Whatever, the moral of the story is "Don't fuck with the jews."

Some were obviously complicit, but just 'cause Trump is President if someone assaulted you for it, you would think you deserved it? Not me.

Not a vss as lid comparison. Electing Trump did not hurt anyone. Attacking Israel did.

rxwine, perhaps you view it as a conflict or police action and not as a war?

I suspect the jews look at it as a war, and as such "all is fair."

In the realm of realpolitik they'll never be able to coexist safely again with the palestinians in their midst, so...what to do?

Other arab countries don't want the palestinians, and with good reason.

I guess they're just damned and doomed...sucks to be them.
