'Report: Democrats Circulate Plan to ‘Open the Floodgates for Palestinians’

'Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) are lobbying fellow Democrats to sign onto a letter to urge President Joe Biden to provide Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) to Palestinians in the U.S.'

So how many will the US admit, and where will they put them?

I figure 100K-500 over a few years. Most will be sent to swing states GA, MI, OH, PA, WI, to seed them with future dem voters.

Maybe I read it wrong, but it looks like a measure to keep the Republicans from randomly deporting Palestinians already here, not bring more in.

They would enter the US 'temporarily' under the TPS designation.

Once here, DED prevents then from being sent back.

What is the meaning of temporary protected status?

Established by the U.S. Congress in 1990, temporary protected status (TPS) is a program that allows migrants whose home countries are considered unsafe the right to live and work in the United States for a temporary, but extendable, period of time.

You probably read it wrong.

While Biden and Harris condemn non-existent 'Islamophobia' to please the Muslim voters, NYC pro-Palestine protests are intensifying. Public school students skipped school on Thursday to join the protests in solidarity with Palestine, and the size of the daily protests is growing. Doubt even Tehran sees anti-Israel protests like these.

Palestinian scarves are all the rage here. $11.99 on Amazon.

Protestors rip up copies of the Jewish Post newspaper during a rally on Friday night outside of Grand Central Station.

I am not sure what Islamaphobia comments you mean, all I can find is a stream of Islamic organization bashing Biden for being allegedly anti-Islam by not supporting a cease fire in Gaza. I am sure you can find some offhand comment about not being prejudice (I don't even like the term Islamophobic because it is a highly politicized, sponsored -by certain organizations- word.) If anything Biden seems to be getting blasted for being too Pro-Israel.

But yeah, pro-Palestine protesters are getting absurd. I can't imagine skipping High School to go to a protest, I can't imagine that a single NYC HS student even knows anything about the history of the region, probably all some social media nonsense push...

or could find it on the map

although I would put 'many' or perhaps 'most' in place of '[not] a single'

Young people need "a cause" to protest about, to get involved with.

Recently it was BLM, now ... this.

Yeah poor wording, I should have said not a single who went to such a "protest," anyone who is educated on the region would know how absurd such protests are.

Well, rich young people do. All my friends and myself were too busy working to protest. Notice you never see protests at trade schools?
