So Blackrock owns about $7.742 billion dollars worth of T at $14.8 per share or about 523 million shares.

All they have to do is dump their shares at market price and drive it down, if T doesn't do what they say to do.

In one market order.

It'll trade all the way to zero or whenever someone intercepts them.

Anyway, are the defenders of the song being honest that it is about wholesome small-town unity, 'cause it sure sounds like a song about small town unity with vigilantism not wholesome law-abiding citizens coming together. Leastwise if someone mentions guns and says "try that and see what happens" it didn't come over as I'm just going to be mad at you when I was growing up.

Vigilantism may give some people a warm feeling in their heart but it's not a legal act. Hasn't been for a long time.

So if CMT decides to stop playing any gay songs you are fine with that since you believe they have the choice to do what ever they want. What about Black artists? Obviously they can't do whatever they want. You just want to be the one that choses.

Surely you know by now what is constitutionally protected in the USA. There's no law against discriminating against country music.

If you want the more technical explanation, one can get a female thrown out of a place you own as long as it's not based on gender. Even if the real reason is gender. That's the way it works.

The problem with doing that, is if an ensuing lawsuit shows you targeting females instead of the reasons you're giving you could be successfully sued and lose. For good or for bad, that's the way it works.

Of course. you could also lose a case, because you admit to witnesses or some other record that could be accessed, what your real reason is.

I would personally be all for CMT never playing gay songs. Who cares?
