Even Fox News is admitting that drumph loses some votes after the verdict
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-verdict-makes-significant-number-of-republicans-less-likely-to-support-him-poll/ar-BB1ns2IM

The verdicts will have some impact on voting intentions, in both directions. Watch now as drumph focuses all his canvassing on whining about his being a victim. Will his constant bleating make him look like a strong and mature leader, focused on what's good for the nation?

My perspective is that Trump's followers are already established, there is nothing that he can do or not do to gain more at this point.

But, people on the fence can be moved to Biden. So yes, showing the truth about Trump is a positive move, sure it will cause a rapid activation of Trump supporters (who will never change their view so it does not matter,) but it will change the view of those on the fence (who do matter.)

Trump will never win a popular vote in his life.

Really? Who will win the popular vote in Idaho? Montana? You assume that ‘popular vote’ can only be used to describe a national total. Each state has its own popular vote. I think two (Maine, Nebraska?) don’t even use their popular vote to award all electoral votes. As it stands now, Trump likely will win more than half of the 50 popular votes that will take place in November. Not that that is relevant.

Popular vote describes the total population that votes in a given election. So for President the popular vote is national.

This one shows up by a 6 point "approval boost" but still too early yet IMO.

We might see it jump to 30 points when the judge locks him up since it'll be reversed anyway.

Might as well get the best bang for the taxpayer buck while the getting is good.

It is my understanding that every presidential election since the 1960's has went the way of the independent voters. I expect the same this time.

That would really surprise me. I would bet the Under 25.

He won't be a felon for long because the Supreme Court will overturn this 9 to 0. It's a done deal, every legal scholar on both sides says this trial is so flawed they don't know where to start. The judges instructions to the jury could have been done on The Simpsons by Krusty the Klown..

Trump is the master at getting millions and millions in free publicity out of the media, it happened in 2016 and it's happening here. Trump will be in the news all day every day from now till election day. If this had been a ho-hum hung jury, it would have been the worst thing for Trump and the best thing for the Democrats. People would have forgotten about this immediately and now Trump is a folk hero on steroids. People who hated his guts when he was president are coming out of the woodwork to support him. It's like he had this whole thing planned. LOL Alan Dershowitz says that Trump's defense was weak and he wonders if it was done on purpose. For one thing why did they allow the prosecutors to get the final word, that never happens. It's like Trump's team wanted them to have the final word because there was a better chance the jury would find a guilty verdict.
