Black women are a huge part of the democratic base, it’s okay to pander to them.

Instead of making a huge production, in advance, about the fact that the nominee is going to be a black woman, just nominate a black woman and be done with it. Leave it for the Republicans to try to tear her down with, almost certainly, some of them making themselves look bad in the process.

By all accounts KBJ was qualified by experience and temperament for the job. Just nominate her. Get her confirmed. And then celebrate the first African American woman on the Supreme Court.

What I did say is that is an example of a ‘woke’ policy that has been espoused by a ‘woke’ person. I’ve given other examples.

I have many leftie friends who always vote Democrat who agree that it was wrong the way Biden handled this.

I'd rather give Republicans the opportunity to vilify themselves than pander to a base whose vote I'm going to have either way. Outrage is winning, right now. Trump tapped into outrage and won; Trump then lost because the left were outraged at him and turned out to vote. There was no red wave because people were outraged at SCOTUS overturning Roe.

It's better to just nominate her if you're going to do that. Let the other side make the argument that she was only nominated due to being a black woman, then the other side can portray themselves as a bunch of racists. In the meantime, you don't have this cloud hanging over her head where someone might say, "Maybe she wasn't the BEST selection, she was just the best selection out of black women."

That's the difference. One is bad politics and the other is good politics. Biden did it the way that's bad politics.

If someone held a gun to my head and had forced me to vote for either Biden or Trump (I didn't vote for either of them), then it would have been Biden.

These are fantasy woke policy's that have no hope of passing. Nobody is defunding the police. Nobody is passing reparations. It ain't happening. You post about fantasies that will never pass.
It's the foxnews propaganda tactic to scare people.
