Another severe case of TDS.

I agree that Trump has Derangement Syndrome. That's the true TDS.

No spin. Facts.

Trump complained about the tax breaks Amazon was getting over traditional retailers.

Amazon getting a $1.46 subsidy from the USPS on every Amazon package it delivered, which cost the USPS $60 billion since 2007, and was speeding up the collapse of traditional retailers.

Plus possible anti-trust violations.

But he never did try to break up Amazon.

Two changes did result from Trump's complaints.

Amazon began delivering their own packages.

Amazon began collecting State sales taxes on items it sells. Prior to that, retailers in 45 states were forced to collect State sales tax, while Amazon was not.

Again, nice spin. But Postal Regulatory Commission reviews Amazon's contracts with the USPS annually and has consistently found that the contracts are profitable. Nice try. NEXT!

I’m wondering when the first ‘major’ news organization will ‘call’ the election in favor of Trump or Harris? I’ll consider any of the networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox) or big newspapers (WaPo, NYT) to qualify. I’m putting the over/under at 2:00am on Wednesday. I’m not sure which way is the smart bet. I think if I had to pick, I’d pick before.
I reckon there'll be a race to CLAIM rather than call the election. drumph will, of course, claim it first. Musk will call it on twitter, echoed by a plethora of Repub senators and pundits. Fox will meanwhile sit on its hands, saying how promising it looks for drumph. Dithery Dems will call for calm while counting continues. He who shouts loudest will ultimately prevail......
Expect it to get loud, as in Bang, Bang, Bang.

Harris Aides Quietly Grow More Bullish on Defeating Trump

Officials within the Harris campaign and people with whom they have shared candid assessments believe she remains in a solid position in the Northern “blue wall” states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, saying internal polling shows her slightly ahead in all three — though by as little as half a percentage point.

They think she remains competitive across the four Sun Belt battleground states. Arizona and North Carolina appear to be the toughest swing states for Ms. Harris, these Democrats said, and they feel better about Georgia and Nevada

If Only! The results will be contested till January, and I expect results to ebb and flow at the margins where drumphs legal and illegal shenanigans get a hold. I don't underestimate the preparations put in place to litigate, dispute, and down right ignore the results. There will be months of violence and years of unrest.

Litigaiton...certainly.

Unrest...to some degree.

Violence...not as likely as before, given the lack of organized "pro-Trump" quasi-militias like the Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer.

Even the mouth-breathers saw what happened to the clowns who stormed the Capitol on Trump's behalf: I doubt that they, too want to go to jail over an election.

If Kamala loses she probabley goes back to California; if Trump loses he goes to prison: this makes him highly motivated to say and do anythng to won, but if he loses it should finally be "Game Over."

With 70Million or so MAGA cultists (OK, there are some who are not in love, but still support the monster) It will take more than some piddling election to end the game. Best case scenario, Harris eventually gets elected and drumph's mob just double down. Harris will be lame duck without enough support to acheive any sort of government. The last four years MAGA have been busy building the steal.

Something to remember: the Dems are pretty notorious for disputing elections as well

I'll grant you that no one in forever has tried to get the electors replaced by his own electors till Trump

as far as any real concern, that particular avenue has now been closed

Disputing elections in the US is a tradition.
It's a pretty typical occurrence in the history of the country. 1824, 1876, 1912, 1960, 2000
What the Republicans did in 2020 crossed the line in so many ways.
Fake electors, Jan 6, tampering with voting machines via Tina Peters, foxnews outright lying
Rudy Giuliani singling out 2 innocent individuals falsely trying to ruin their lives totally disgusts me
