| SOOPOO Member since: Feb 19, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 5744 | Just to remind everyone, if someone says Trump has a 60% chance of winning, if Trump loses it DOES NOT mean the predictor was wrong. Nor does it mean if Trump wins they were right. If you say someone has a 60% chance of winning, and that person ALWAYS wins, then your 60% prediction was WRONG. If the pollster is accurate, then around 40% of the time the other candidate SHOULD win. I will be FASCINATED by the blame game the Democrats will resort to if Kamala loses to the most flawed candidate in Presidential history. Will the Democrats see this as a repudiation of their flawed crime/border/economy/etc. policies or keep their heads in the sand and keep saying abortion, abortion, abortion? If Trump loses I’d like to see if they jettison Trump and move back to what the Republican Party should be, or will they just shout ‘stolen, stolen, stolen’? If Trump loses, no way he is gracious in defeat. I’m wondering if Harris would be? Warren Buffett endorsed both HRC, and BHO. But did not endorse Biden. Some expected he would endorse Harris, but specifically did not. Implying it would be bad for Berkshire Hathaway if he did. Hmmmm….. |

Trump has been insulting Hispanics since he came down that elevator in 2015. Those Hispanics who were and are willing to overlook his insults and vote for him maybe won't change their mind after Sunday. But, it didn't help attract new voters, that's for sure. |

If by "gracious" you mean will accept the results, yes she will. And she will certify the counting of the EVs and attend the inauguration. Won't make her hate him any less. We already can reliably predict what Donny and his cohort will say and do if he loses. Buffett, Bezos, the LA Times pinead owner and all the other tech bros are all a bunch of cowards if they refuse to endorse Harris out of fear of reprisal from Trump. BHO? Are you implying something by invoking his seldom used middle initial? |

It was more complicated than usual, police checkpoint at the door, and they make sure you turn off all of your phones and such. But, not very busy so still pretty quick (I was back at work within 10 mins.) |

Nate Silver got a lot of flack for 2016, but his model had a 70-30ish spilt. One of the only ones that gave Donny that big of a chance. As for this election, it still seems like a coin toss to me. Going to come down to the standard swing states, where the polls are insanely close. I am baffled why the righties seem so confident. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Anyone on either side that is confident is foolish. When Trump won in 2016 almost nobody gave him a chance going into election night. If you remember, Hillary did not even have a concession speech prepared as there was no way she was losing. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Yet I have voted Libertarian after first voting for McGovern, opting to "vote just for the sake of voting" as opposed to voting for one of the two major candidates, neither of whom ever met my personal criteria. I vote Libertarian although I only favor some of their beliefs: the main thing with me, the thing I really agree with them on, is the idea of maximizing personal freedom with minimal gov't involvement. This still seems to be part of the republican platform, i.e. the idea of "small" gov't., but since the religious zealots convinced the republicans to demonize abortion the republicans now intrude unacceptably on our personal freedom: plus the republican are running a werewolf as their candidate. |

Not really! When he was my classmate he was just ‘Barry’. I tend to use middle initials but forgot Biden’s ‘R’ middle name when typing. I would certainly go DJT if referring to Trump. And HRC is an easy one. My point was that Buffett endorsed two Dems, but has now sat out the last two. I think his silence says something. Not what the Dems were hoping to hear. |
