The modern human species has been on the earth for 200,000 years. Civilization is only 5000 years old. We became who we are in an environment of intense competition between groups of humans. As a result we are, by nature, team players and we are instinctively leery of the other teams. Tribalism a deep seated part of what it is to be human and intelligent people are not exempt. If you don't see it in yourself, I'd say you aren't taking an honest look.

There's a difference between inevitability whilst eschewing it to the greatest possible degree and willingly embracing it.

Eventually, we'll outgrow former biological imperatives that are no longer necessary for survival, or we'll become extinct first. I won't be here for either of those two events, so I'm not concerned with which one it is. It doesn't make currently operating under such defunct parameters any less stupid...you just try to notice it in yourself and work harder to avoid it.

It's funny that you think racism it's really a problem in the USA. It's not, compared to the rest of the world. You have entire racist countries, like Japan. In China. And Korea. Any country you could name in Asia is racist. Go to any place in Europe and racism is rampant against Jews, Muslims, blacks, and many others. Believe it or not the leading countries in Europe for racism are Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Poland. The most racist country in Europe by far is Italy. Racism in the US is a joke compared to the rest of the world.
