Listen, this is why the Church folks are mostly idiots. What's one of the colloquial anti-abortion arguments?

"Oh, you never know. What if someone got an abortion and that person would have become President?"

I've heard that argument, so let's eviscerate it from several different angles:

1.) If that person is aborted and, as such, cannot become President, then someone else will be.

2.) If that person is not aborted, but is instead born and deprived proper nutrition and education, then he or she will almost certainly not become President anyway.

3.) How many future Presidents (or other things) would have to be born before the value created by those who are born exceeds the expenditures that come as a result of said people being born? I guess Bezos being vaccumed out before he was born might have tipped the scales a bit.

Of course, you talk about nearly $200,000 in public education spending, per student, then look at the tax rates...potential money being spent for those who get out of school but are on welfare...the people they produce who might be on welfare and also get public education...

The numbers just don't work. The value added would have to be ridiculous, on net, so it doesn't hold. In the grand scope of things, someone not being born (on average) is probably financially better for everyone absent information about their lives being known ahead of time.

4.) Don't the churchies say, "God will decide when it's my time to go?" I mean, that's why they don't like masks and resisted closing the churches as long as they could during Covid, right? It's up to God. Well, if there's an abortion, by extension, that just means that God decided it was that person's time before they were born.

I mean, lots of babies die before they are born. How is it God deciding in one case, but not the other?

It's really not a difficult concept. If every pregnancy resulted in an abortion, then there would be no public school education spending whatsoever in twenty years.

Sure there would, the teacher's unions would still own the pols and still demand more spending.

That would just get them to their true end game. The push for smaller and smaller class sizes, success when they get to 0 kids.
