I'm not. It is actual news. I realize you are OK with no election security but it is needed to ensure a fair election. We can only imagine how many CA would purge if they audited their rolls. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

So of the 1 mil, basically 50% were dead and almost 50% simply did not complete the certification process in the required time (that is when you get challenged and they mail you a bunch of paperwork to fill out and you have to return it to certain places at certain times.) This number is far less impressive when you put it this way. And a tiny percentage were non-citizens and felons who lost their voting privilege. In a State that cares so much about election security, that sounds like a Texas problem that they were allowed to register. I am pretty sure the state of Texas is supposed to remove felons when they are convicted? |

I am more perplexed why the dead aren't removed voting rolls on a rolling basis. When my co-resident died last December, the town clerk removed her from the town's voting rolls almost immediately after receiving the death certificate. I know this because we voted by mail-in ballot since 2020, and that primary election a few weeks later, only I received a ballot, and nothing came addressed to her. Teas created the problem by not following the rules to remove the dead on a rolling basis, and now wants applause for fixing it? According to the news, estimated 920,000 of the names were those of people who had died or whose home addresses could not be verified by local election officials, but 6,500 names were of people who were not U.S. citizens and nearly that many were of felons whose voting privileges had been revoked. So 6500/1.1million=0.59% of the voters removed were not citizens. And an equivalent were disenfranchised felons. As of March 2024, TX had 17.9 million registered voters. So 6500/17.9 million = 0.036% of voters weren't citizens. Wake me when it gets to 0.05% and I'll put in an order to sell high. |

This issue is mostly due to the local jurisdiction. Apparently Texas does not have a centralized reporting process. This is why it is rich when there is loud exclamations in red states of, "look at how many dead voters we caught...." When it should be, "look at how many dead voters we caught because we do not regularly check legal, medical, and death records because we do not want to infringe on privacy......" Very ironic..... |

The point is not just the non-citizens, it is how many were cleared off. Those dead people could be used for mail in ballot fraud for example. Shows that all the states need to regularly clear the rolls. Shows how the left wing is in denial about election fraud potential. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
