To clarify this stat is for Official State ID or passport (The type of ID needed to fly or vote etc....)

I know you grew up rich, but 50USD is a lot for some people. And, realistically the cost is much more (getting all of the documents required to get an ID if you don't have them, such as getting a certified BC, a new SS card.... etc..... all of which require missing days of work....). If you are homeless getting all of these documents with no permanent address is not just challenging, in some cases it is close to impossible, even if you have the cash.....

I have no problem with ID checks for voting. In fact I like ID checks in general. I would go even further, I have no problem with biometric verification in addition to ID (such as a fingerprint scan), but it needs to be provided free under a uniformed system..... Right now the voting ID laws vary widely state to state (as do the costs and requirements to obtain a state ID).... This is why a Federal database and federal ID is crucial.

Bill Maher telling Cory Booker if Democrats can't say , "Islamic Extremism" they will lose in 2016, sadly, he essentially predicted what happened. And, this may be an issue with this election as well, too much liberal dodging of this issue.

Hopefully Joe Biden gets the ability to be much more firm on this subject.

There is no comparison, one religion dominates extremism in a danger sense (as far as people killed).

How many people do Japense Nationals driving pickup trucks and shouting in bullhorn kill? How many people do wookies kill (I don't even know what that really means, but I'll still bet the answer is a statistical nothing)?

That attitude is why so many look weak in the party, because everyone wants to say, "oh well there are extremists everywhere" ....

Not sure what your definition of "rich" is but I assure you I did not grow up that way. Not even close.

See, if it takes days off work to do all this then it takes days off work. YOU NEED AN ID TO WORK! You need to take the time off to get your life in order and get an ID like every other grown-up. It is part of life. Stick a crowbar in your wallet and get one! No excuse not to have ID. No reason to be against ID to vote except to be in favor of voter fraud. Enough with the poor mouthing excuses.

Somehow we have lasted what, 240 years without need for a Federal ID? See, you trust government. You love government. You do not see the evil that government is capable of. Perhaps when you get closer to my age and get more worldly you will. Until then, take my advice. Never give a government more power and control over you.
