If they want to vote they can show the ID they already have. If we had a federal ID then liberals would just make more excuses about how some people being too lazy to get it should still be allowed to vote.

See, liberals really think blacks especially are too stupid to get an ID. I have posted the video before. They think that blacks cannot find the DMV or cannot do the other basics needed to get an ID. Same as they think they cannot get into college on merit and need affirmative action.

I don't get this guy at all. First he whines about all these people who supposedly don't have a state ID, but then he does a complete 180 and says that he'd like them to get a federal ID!!

It's like damn make up your mind. 😂

True colors shine through again, on one hand claiming that everyone should have ID, while on the other hand protesting that one should be provided to everyone.

I mean anyone who

drives a car
has a bank account
has a legit job
wants to buy alcohol
seeing a doctor

And that is just for starters. IOW, normal society.

It has been this way for over 50 years.

My view is simple. If you want to require ID for a Constitutional Right (voting), you need to guarantee free ID. This is where the Federal ID comes into play.

As for gun ownership (even if not you, some cons, will make that leap), yes the same arguments prevails, you need a Federal ID to be properly vetted for gun purchases just like voting.

Plus again, more simply, there is not national ID in the U.S. , we are pretty much the only developed county that does not mandate one. This has to change.

I would like to remind Republicans of this:

The last time a Democrat won from the electoral college, but lost the popular vote (meaning that they lost the majority vote) was 1888.
For Republicans its the only way that that they can win in the last 30 years outside of one time being an incumbent.
There has not been a Republican candidate in my lifetime that has won the popular vote on their first run (not being an incumbent).

The numbers of Americans that veer Democratic/ liberal have a clear majority.

That is all.

Not sure why you think National ID is so prevalent. Canada doesn't have any. The UK dropped theirs years ago the quote below if from the UK government site. Notice that it wasn't free either.

"Identity cards
Identity cards were scrapped in 2011 - they’re no longer valid and you can’t use them as proof of identify.

You don’t have to return your identity card. You should destroy it or keep it in a safe place.

The fee you paid won’t be refunded.

The government securely destroyed the personal details of everyone who had an identity card.

You can’t use your identity card for travel. Use your passport instead. Contact the British embassy if you’re abroad without a passport."

Look at the map and compare for yourself.

Also, bear in mind, even many of the the "noncompulsory" (compulsory means required) have an option for a national ID. We are virtually the only country that does not have an option for a free national ID (again SS card does not count).

Why do you think SS doesn't matter? Try getting a newborn out of a hospital without a name and SS# and footprint [is it still a footprint].

They may say it's not to be used as ID, but I'm not aware of any forms that don't ask for it, states that don't demand it, or anymore, people that don't have one.

For whatever reason, this dude is fixated on a national ID, and I don't know why.

Somebody needs to tell him that the federal government isn't in charge of elections. The STATES do that. This is civics 101.
And anybody can easily get an ID card from their respective states. DUH.

You can't have the states individually providing ID, because that opens up the possibility of getting ID in multiple states, registering to vote, and committing all kinds of voter fraud!

(Sarcasm)

A national voter registry would solve that, and only allow one person to be registered in one place at one time.

The only elections republicans win is when less people vote. It's not something to be particularly proud of. It means your ideas suck.
