[WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Dozens of Republican former U.S. national security officials are forming a group that will back Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, people familiar with the effort said, in a further sign that President Donald Trump has alienated some members of his own party.

Same members have hated him since he announced. Just because he was not a member of the club. See if they ever get an insiders job again.
The President is a fink.

I was just listening to an NPR report about how he's gone after many regulatory authorities who issued a critical report of different aspects of the Trump administration. In some cases replacing them with the deputy administrator, crippling the agency as the administrator still has his old job as well as the new one.

I don't think he removed a single one over incompetence or failure to do the job.

The whole report was centered on his attack on oversight agencies which are suppose to function as checks on abuse and fraud. Something, he doesn't want anyone to look at. So, not sure what Trump is draining. Maybe he's drinking it and spewing. That seems more likely.

Yes they are supposed to function as checks on abuse and fraud. The problem is they are totally invested in the way things were with the democrats and simply following the lead of their former masters, the democrats, to keep the gravy train going. You really haven't caught on to the big picture yet. Maybe it is because the younger generation can only view the world through the lense of a cell phone.

WASHINGTON—A Russian spy unit paid members of Afghanistan’s Taliban movement to conduct lethal attacks on U.S. troops in that country, according to a classified American intelligence assessment, people familiar with the report said.

The assessment of the role played by Russia’s military intelligence agency, the GRU, in fostering attacks on American soldiers, comes as President Trump is pushing the Pentagon to withdraw a significant portion of U.S. forces from Afghanistan and as U.S. diplomats try to forge a peace accord involving the Taliban and the U.S.-backed Afghan government.

“If true, this is outrageous conduct by Russia,” Rep. Ted Lieu (D., Calif.), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a Twitter message. Mr. Trump, he wrote, “is putting U.S. troops’ lives at risk by doing nothing.”

Expecting you to look at an issue without your bias overwhelming your factual analysis is.

How it it biased. He is ugly,
he does sound like a Mafia

This is a biggie.

The righties have not figured out how to respond to it yet.

Can’t say “fake news” because the WH has confirmed the intel, they are just currently claiming Donny/Pence weren’t told. Even if THAT were true (doubt it), it’d still be a huge scandal. Why wouldn’t anyone tell them?

Democrats NEVER abandon their guy. No matter what their guy must be defended to the death.

This is either a deliberate attempt at bringing some comedy to the forum or a total inability to self-reflect. Anyone reading your posts for any length of time at all would have had more than a wry grin at this one.

In other news Trump is now out to +192. Can’t see how it won’t be closer come November. I will back him probably when he gets to +200 or so with a view to backing Biden when it tightens.
