I know you play basketball
No doubt, you play with many Black fathers that are concerned about their children and support BLM
Do you actually have the gall to call out your Black basketball friends and accuse them of supporting looting and arson
The vast majority of BLM supporters are against violence just like the Black guys you play basketball with.
But you ignore that and your basketball friends and would rather believe right wing propaganda. Why?

Are their children passing counterfeit currency and taking fentanyl?
Are they driving drunk, resisting arrest and shooting Tasers at police officers?
Are they "finger raping" ex-girlfriends, violating restraining orders, resisting arrest and reaching for knives while evading the police?
Are they taking PCP, smashing windows and parading naked down the street at 3AM during a snow storm?
If they aren't doing any of these types of actions, they have nothing to fear.

This is a somewhat long video, but it has stuff about Biden
but I've never seen. Lots of shots of him openly molesting
little girls that I haven't seen before. And punching people,
and yelling in their faces. Some of it is really disgusting, on
some of the little girls he's trying to move his hands to where
their breasts will be someday. How did he get away with this
for so long.

Great point, Ed. Before the pandemic and before there was a group called BLM, I did have that talk with one of my Black basketball friends. He told me that he had to have ‘the talk’ with his pre teen son and daughter. That when approached by police you are allowed to answer in two words. Either ‘yes sir’ or not sir’. That because you are Black you will be under far more suspicion than your White friends, who might be acting the same way as you. That as angry as you are about the cop stopping you for no reason, you cannot resist and must remain polite. He told them that if they want to remain safe it is what it is.

So, Ed, I am 100% for the concept of Black Lives Matter. I am also 100% against the way it has evolved as a movement, with rioting and looting being hallmarks of their ‘protests’. And tacit approval of such by many Democrat leaders. (See DeBlasio, Portland mayor, Seattle mayor, etc...).

I am Jewish. I had a similar conversation from my elders when I was a kid. That if I wore a yarmulke in public I would be a target in many parts of NY. It made me angry, but I kept my own personal safety as a priority. And there is a NON-VIOLENT group called the anti-defamation league which fights against the anti-semitism that pervaded our country. And still does. Go to their website if you want a list of the thousands of anti Semitic hate crimes. But you don’t see Jews rioting and looting in the name of equality and safety.

I think the BLM movement has been terrible for Black people. The extremely rare bad killing of a Black criminal is so overshadowed by the hundreds if not thousands of additional Black deaths at the hands of Black criminals in cities where police are now reluctant to DO THEIR JOBS.

I agree with the overall position that Black people are stopped by the police disproportionately and are more likely to be subject to police violence.

With that being said, is there ANYONE of any color that does not offer this precise advice to their children? It's not like Caucasians are running around under the impression that they can resist arrest anytime they want to and can cuss out police to their hearts' content. Granted, some of them certainly do, but so do some Black folks.

I guess my point is that I'm White and had this exact talk with my parents before I started driving, and so did all of my friends. "Yes, sir," and, "No, sir," comply with all instructions, leave the vehicle without a fight if asked, etc. etc.

That's also just being smart and avoiding confrontation. You also want to make the cop's job easier to hopefully get on his/her good side to hopefully avoid a ticket. In the rare event I get pulled over, by the time the cop gets to the car, I've got my driver's side window down, license/registration/insurance in hand and my hands atop my head.

Also, just generally speaking (though some may disagree) being polite all the time in every day life, in my opinion, will make 99%+ of every single interaction you have with anyone much easier. That said, if someone doesn't want to give me politeness back, I won't hesitate to give them 3x whatever it is they are giving me.
