No, because not every city problem requires just one solution. A perfect example is shifting some education money to make sure some of the poorer kids aren’t showing up hungry while trying to learn. While it has no normal direct relation to education, it is helping The education of those kids learning in school.

Ron has pointed out his many examples of wanting to cut police funding. If Black Lives Matter, he would be in favor of INCREASING police funding. Increased police presence is an ACTUAL deterrent to inner city crime. More police are NEEDED to protect the Black Lives in the slums of NY, Chicago, Portland, Minneapolis, etc... The few Black Lives lost per year due to bad police are DWARFED by the number an INCREASED police presence would save. IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE! Just look at the shooting statistics since the police have been hamstrung by BLM, and other foolish liberal policies, like no bail, no arrests for looters, allowing public property to be destroyed, "autonomous zones", etc...

Good retort. But bottom line is ALL municipalities try and save money, and have no desire to have unnecessary extra police officers. Presumably the mayors or councils or whoever decides took into account crime rates, population, etc.. in determining how many police are necessary to maintain public safety. My point is now that BLM is unchecked, rioting and looting is ignored, and there is MORE crime in these inner cities, it is NOT the time to decrease police presence.
