The death rate is very high in New York. These are COVID deaths per million population for 93% of the COVID deaths in the world (countries with over 1000 COVID deaths). 576 Belgium 482 Spain 430 Italy 341 France 287 UK 250 Netherlands 213 Sweden 205 Ireland 184 Switzerland 158 USA 69 Germany 66 Iran 61 Canada 31 Turkey 17 Brazil 9 Mexico 3 China In comparison, New York State has 830 COVID deaths per million population, and New York City is over 1600 COVID deaths per million people. With the city having over 21% of the COVID deaths while having 2.5% of the nation's population, it isn’t an exaggeration to state that the coronavirus crisis in the U.S. is, in many ways, a New York public health crisis. |

The fact that Covid is hitting multiple organs has been out there for several weeks TP. This study identifies more solidly what is going on but is nothing new. Belgium has 597 deaths per million population which is the most of any country in the world. New York has 1,108 deaths per million and New Jersey is also higher than Belgium but the US as a whole is 160 deaths per million or 1 in 10,000.
