Guy I worked with was killing time in a local park and the cops went into the next lot and cleared out over a dozen cars of gays looking for an anonymous hookup.

I am not talking brothels. Gay brothels usually fail as gay males can go to any number of these hookup places for free. Not even talking gay bars. Talking places they go to meet during the day.

I have seen enough in my life that you can try to find all the surveys and studies trying to show gay males "not much different than straights" as you like. Reality is out there. Reality does not fit the narrative, so they try to cover it up.

So is consesual adult gay sex more immoral than straight prostitution?

Should gay bars be illegal since they are essentially a hookup spot?

Having sex on public land is illegal gay or straight so that is not any kind of double standards, if you are exposed or engaging in intercourse in public you can and should be arrested regardless of the type of sex.... I honestly don't know the stats (I am happy to accept any legitimate ones offered), but ancedotaly, I see straight couple get arrested constantly locally (usually beach sex), and I honestly cannot recall a single case of gay sex in recent years for public arrest.

But, at the same time, you can't accept some stats that work in your favor and say others are part of some shadowy gay conspiracy.... Especially on a math based site....

A gay bar is not a problem unless it violates nuisance bar laws. Ideally it should be labeled for what it is.

Well, I have seen gay hookup problem places make the news more than once. Remember Larry Craig? The cops knew gays solicited each other in a restroom and had their own little signals. The cops usually know about these places, often they do not make arrests but just roust the gays and get them to move on, what my former coworker saw.

The cops usually know about these places, often they do not make arrests but just roust the gays and get them to move on, what my former coworker saw.

You know Larry Craig was a Republican (and politically anti-gay) right? And, he turned out to be either gay or bi. And, he is not an anomaly, there is a trend of strong anti-gay officials that turn out to be having gay affairs. I am not going to speculate on the psychology behind it, it's just ironic....

Historically some used signals to identify in public as gay, which I see no problem with? If you are worried about gays you should prefer that they flirt with each other?

As for bathrooms being a huge problem, I have never heard that, I know a lot of cops never heard, that from any of them (maybe in cities with no real crime that is something to worry about). I have never once been approached by anyone in a bathroom for sex... The only people who approach in public bathrooms in my experience are those guys who try to hand you paper towels in exchange for tips when washing hands...

I honestly don't see the problem, even if true. If there is gay signaling going on on bathrooms (news to me) and its consesual and they don't signal straight people why would it effect you?

What does his party have to do with his soliciting for gay sex in a men's room? As to the psychology, my guess is they know what they are doing is bad so they want to dissuade others from making that choice.

If you cannot see a problem with gays using a men's room as a pick-up joint well I cannot explain that to you. I never denied gay men do not "prowl" for uncommitted sex. I only said all men do this. Men in general tend to uncommitted sex more than women. The chart I posted above seems to indicate it as well.

Is a bathroom an appropriate pickup location? No, I don't think so. But, I also don't think it's a massive problem. I have never seen it happen in real life. I think you are taking a couple anecdotal examples and older dramatic movies to see a trend that does not really exist.

"Massive problem?" Probably not. A big problem in concentrated areas? Probably, which is why the cops arrested the guy in the men's room for flashing gay signals. Which is why the cops rousted the gays in the park I mentioned. They are out there, places in most cities where gay males go for action. Denying it does not mean it is not there.

Definitely true that new Hollywood and Tv stars aren’t bothering to get into sham heterosexual marriages. Now their sham marriages are for the usual reasons.
